*2 Weeks Before Formal*

Lyric's POV

"Wanda, this color is not for me." I groaned tossing the pink dress back to the scarlet witch.

"Peter, come here and tell your girlfriend she looks gorgeous in everything." Wanda sighed.

"I'm not allowed in there, Wanda," Peter called from outside the women's fitting room. I frowned and walked out in my black strapless bra and boy shorts.

"We've been here for almost two hours. I'm never gonna find the right dress. I'm too tall for the short dresses and they show my ass cheeks. Then the strapless dresses have the audacity to not want to fit over my boobs." I pouted.

"I have one last one here. It's purple, your favorite." She smiled. I took the dress and tried it on. I instantly fell in love. There were intricate lace sleeves and the color was a royal purple. It sat right above my knees keeping my ass out of the view of others.

"Girrrlll! This is the one! Wanda, I love it!" I squealed.

"What color is it?" Peter called out.

"Purple."

"Do you want me to match you?"

"I don't care."

"I'm gonna get a black suit is that okay?"

"As long as you're happy, Peter."

"Ok thanks." Wanda was trying to hold back laughter.

"What?" I asked.

"You two are adorable." She snickered. I rolled my eyes and took off the dress, changing back into Peter's blue sweater and leggings. Wanda and I exited the fitting room to see Peter looking down at his phone. He smiled seeing me and put his phone in his back pocket.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah, but I'm a bit hungry. Can you guys go to the food court and get me a slice of pizza or something? I'll pay for the dress." Wanda said. Peter and I nodded, walking out of the store. I snuck my hand into his own and intertwined our fingers.

"Are you getting a haircut for formal?" I asked.

"No...should I?!" Peter panicked. I giggled and shook my head.

"Just trying to make conversation, Petey," I assured him. He was gonna say something when a voice came from out of nowhere.

"Peter?! Peter, it's Ned!" The voice called. Peter and I turned to see a boy walking towards us.

"Is this Lyric?" The boy, Ned, asked looking at me.

"So you're still telling people about me," I smirked at Peter.

"Yeah, um Lyric, this is Ned, my friend I've been telling you about. Ned, this is Lyric." Peter blushed. I produced a hand for Ned to shake.

"Hi, Ned," I said.

"It's so nice to meet you! Peter talks about you, like, all the t-"

"Ned, what are you doing here?" Peter interjected.

"Formal shopping with Michelle. We're going together again this year." Ned said.

"We just finished formal shopping." I smiled.

"You asked her? Way to go Peter!" Ned cheered, making poor Peter blush even more. I giggled and looked back at Ned.

"I have a feeling I'll be seeing more of you." I grinned. Ned smiled back and said goodbye to Peter and I. We got Wanda the pizza from the food court and waited for her to leave the store.
