I got down the stairs and walked towards the centre of the hall. That's where dad was sitting with his clients or whatever they were. I made my steps slow as much as I could and glanced around for my little brother.

There was no sign of him nor did I hear him whine since I exited my room. Like me, he also didn't like meeting dad's friends but we both had different reasons for that.

He had just entered college and hated being asked about his future plans and stuff continuously. Dad wished for him to join his business but he wanted to be a professional photographer. Since he was highly pampered by all of us, I knew dad would let him do whatever he wanted.

As I searched for Arman, mom grabbed my hand and pulled me towards her. She gave me a bright smile and whispered that I was looking good. I smiled at her and thanked her for the dress. I decided to stand instead of sitting down because I wanted to run the moment this meeting ended.

"Reyna beta (child). Please greet our guests," Dad told me but it was more like a command.

I had no choice but to oblige. Well, he was the man who raised me, gave me an education and fed me all these years, so I could atleast fulfill this simple request.

"Namaste," I greeted and joined my two palms together and bowed my head a little bit.

I didn't look at the guests. I had judged that both of them were men and I avoided looking at them as much as I could. I was feeling that spine-tingling sensation and it had increased by a hundred folds. I sensed the source as I felt a burning gaze on me.

Strangely, I neither liked the gaze nor did I hate it. I just felt intimidated and my instinct kept telling me to escape the next second my dad told me to leave. But he never did and I also didn't want to when I heard the next words from dad's mouth.

"Reyna, this is Yuvaan Raichand. Our new business partner."

I snapped up my eyes at dad and looked at him like he just spoke in an another language. Did he just say Yuvaan Raichand?

"And this is his lawyer and good friend, Shaurya Razi," dad added and smiled at the guests.

I thought my neck was stuck in that position because I couldn't move it to look at the two famous personalities who were sitting just in front of me.

Fortunately, I managed to calm my nerves and turned my head to look at Yuvaan Raichand and his lawyer. I didn't expect that I would get to see him in person and that too in my own house. For the first time in so many years, I was thankful to my dad.

I was having this fangirl moment. I mentally laughed when I imagined the jealous faces of Keerti and Upasana.

"Hi, Reyna. I am Shaurya," the cute one said.

Just like Yuvaan, he was also really popular and was known for his charming looks. His dimples popped up as he shot me his famous smile and I smiled back. I felt a comfortable and homely vibe from him.
