"Keerti look. Reyna's mehendi has turned out so dark!" Upasana exclaimed and Keerti also showed her surprise.
Oher girls also gathered around me and started discussing about how the colour of the bride's mehendi was directly proportional to the amount of love of groom. I never understood that point.
I knew it all depended on the type of mehendi you used and for how longer you let it rest on your skin. Alongwith the process of cleaning it with sugar water afterwards. I said the same thing and everyone rolled their eyes.
(Reyna's mehendi👆)
We had called a special mehendi designer for today's ceremony and she did a wonderful job. After that we had Sangeet (music) function where my cousins and my friends danced to the latest bollywood tracks and some old ones.
I couldn't contain myself and joined them. I loved dancing. Some of my relatives complained to mom about it but mom ignored them and let me dance. She also joined us and we set the stage on fire.
I was giggling and laughing all the time. Everything seemed so perfect. I was finally going to have my own home and call someone my own. Yuvaan came as a surprise in my life and it wouldn't be a lie if I said that I liked him a lot.
Who wouldn't? He was not just devilishly handsome, but he was really humble too.
Sometimes I wondered if he was real or not. Or if I was just dreaming and then someone would poke my happy bubble and I would crash to the ground. But I was already underneath it so that wouldn't happen.
I shook my head and continued dancing. Surprisingly for my relatives and not so surprisingly for mom and my friends, I was the last girl dancing. I defeated everyone and bowed once the dance session was over.
Keerti and Upasana fed me and we all went to sleep early. Tomorrow was Haldi ceremony and since we had a lot of guests, we needed to do everything on time. Compared to Yuvaan's family, we had a lot of relatives on my side.
