Since morning, Heena and Advait were busy teasing me and continuously pointed out that I was glowing. Even Shaurya mentioned about it and asked me the reason behind it. I controlled myself from blushing but failed badly. They got the hint, and Shaurya was happy, but Heena and Advait didn't leave me alone in the office too.
Last night was awesome - and really wonderful. I was glad that my husband and I were on the same boat, and the feelings were mutual. He didn't panic or run away like I feared him to. He had started doing some of his work at home and his doctor had allowed him to hit the gym too.
While thinking about last night, I did my work and left to go to Raghuveer's firm in the afternoon. Just like I had suggested him, he had a video conference with Lokesh and Himesh and called them up for the new project deal. And like I had planned, Geeta tagged along.
Once I reached Raghuveer's office, I went directly to the meeting room and greeted Geeta, who hugged me and asked me about my well being. Himesh stared at us intently, while Lokesh was busy browsing through the various catalogues.
Unlike Himesh, Lokesh had become comfortable around me and didn't suspect me of anything. And it was all thanks to Geeta only. She invited me a lot over to her place and in the parties she held. But Himesh was still wary of me.
I had decided that today I would take care of him too. He was a really cunning man and hadn't yet dropped his guard. He might be smart, but his ego was far bigger than his brain. I just had to act like they wanted, and my work would become hundred times simpler.
"Good morning, everyone. Thank you for coming to the meeting. Let's start with the presentation," Raghuveer greeted and got on with work without wasting any more time.
Geeta sat down beside her husband, and I took my seat with my team members. Raghuveer explained about the luxury apartments and the project's pipeline. Himesh asked him some doubts and cleared his queries. Raghuveer put the offer in front of him, and the men thought about it.
"May I say something if you all don't mind?" I asked.
"Sure, go ahead." Raghuveer nodded.
I glanced at Lokesh and Himesh and gave them a polite smile. "I think since our esteemed clients are here and are already aware of getting one of these flats at a lower price, I was thinking about gifting them one more flat each as a complimentary gift."
Himesh's eyes widened, and Lokesh also looked at me in surprise, but Geeta squealed in joy and told her husband that it was a great offer. Raghuveer shot me a curious look, and I gave him a short nod, assuring him that I wasn't bluffing.
"What's the reason behind gifting us such expensive flats?" Himesh inquired.
"There is no particular reason, Himesh Sir." I smiled and saw his lips twitch upwards at the word 'Sir'.
"Come on, Himesh bhaisahab. Why are you refusing? What's the harm in getting a free house?" Geeta complained.
"She is right. We are not telling you to pay the price; it's free and you already know that the property is of really high value. Even if you plan on selling them, you will get a higher return. It is a free investment," I said. "But, please, don't take my word. I am just suggesting it. If you have any doubts, you can ask Raghuveer to confirm your decision."
