Lili had crashed at KJ's, who was luckily in New York for Christmas instead of New Zealand.
She'd only told him she had messed something up with Cole and she had no where else to go. KJ obviously let her in his apartement, careful not to ask any question that would make her feel worse than she already felt.
He figured she'd tell him the day after.
She slept in his guest room -- correction: she cried in his guest room, she couldn't sleep. Not after whet she'd done to Cole.
To Cole, and to herself. She had broken her own heart.
She had left.
