It had been 6 days since Zack's father had passed away, Sarah, Luke and I had done everything in our power to comfort him, but I was the only one who really knew the pain that he was going through. It had only been 10 months since I was in the same exact situation.
It was Sunday, after the bad week, the four of us had decided not to go to church this morning, I had invited everyone over for brunch and we would watch movies the rest of the afternoon. I wanted to be surrounded by friends, and I knew it was the best thing for Zack.
"We're here," Sarah says as she and Luke walk through the front door.
I hugged both of them tightly
"Zack should be here in a bit, Brunch is ready, go ahead and help yourself"
"Thanks, Lila, I'm excited to just spend the day with everyone. It's been a while since we've all spent time together" Luke says
"I know, The last two months haven't been the best with Sarah and me arguing, but I guess sometimes sisters argue"
"Yeah, they do, Allie and I fought a lot when we were younger. but right before she got married we were super close"
"You still have me you know, Neither of us are getting married for a long time, we're only 15,"
"I know, we still have 3 years before we can think about getting married, but I may wait until we're done with college"
"I think you'll get married earlier than that honestly, I mean you two are madly in love, I think you'll be married by the time you're 20"
"I'm ready when she is, I'm not going to rush her. even though if I had a say in it, We'd be getting married the day I turned 18. I know she's the girl I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life with," Luke says
"You have liked me for 5 years though, Honestly I never thought we'd be more than friends until you saved me from Trent, that was when I started liking you,"
"I'm just glad you gave me a chance, I saw how bad he had hurt you, and I knew I had to pick up the broken pieces he left behind,"
"I'm glad you did though, You've shown me what it's like to be loved unconditionally and cherished. Trent never did that"
"You guys have the sweetest relationship, I could see from the first day I met you how much you really love her,"

"We've been together 4 months today, Everything is good between us, even though the last week has been rough, we've gotten each other through it"
