Youth Lock-in

It has been 3 weeks since everything turned upside down. Grace and I have gotten closer, she's the big sister I've always wanted. I've also gotten closer to Luke. The three of us had been spending so much time together. Sarah hadn't talked to any of us since that night. I was really worried about her.

"Hey Lila, are you ready to go?" Grace asks

I nod, "I'm excited, I can't wait for tonight,"

"This is my favorite activity of the year, I get to hang out with some awesome teenagers all night,"

"I'm excited to see Luke and Zack, even though I just saw them last night,"

"I love how close you've gotten to both of them,"

"I love them both, Luke is a brother to me, and Zack is the best boyfriend ever,"

"Have you heard from Sarah?"

I shook my head, "None of us have,"

"I've been praying that she would come back to church or youth group, I've missed seeing her around,"

"Me too,"

"It's weird not seeing her with Luke all the time, I know they were friends forever before they started dating,"

"I still blame myself for her acting the way she did, I keep thinking, maybe if I had just kept my mouth shut, and hadn't said anything she wouldn't have snapped,"

"You can't control what she says Lila, You were trying to be a good friend and help the situation, don't blame yourself,"

"I just hate seeing my friends hurting, and now I haven't talked to her in three weeks, so I have no idea how she's doing,"

"She'll come around, she always does,"

"I guess you're right,"

"How is Luke handling everything?"

"He's getting better, I've been spending a lot of time with him and Zack, and they've tried teaching me how to play video games,"

Grace laughs, "That's what Evan was telling me, all three of them were trying to turn you into a gamer,"

"I'm just not good at it, but it makes them happy so I'll play whatever games they want,"

"Evan's tried teaching me, and I'm not good either,"

We pulled into the church parking lot and there was only one other car, which I Knew was Zack's, two days after we got back from camp he got his driver's license, and he's been picking me up for dates and church ever since

"There you two are," Luke says

"Sorry, I took a while getting ready, I couldn't figure out what I wanted to wear,"

"What is it with girls and trying to figure out what to wear? You look good in anything Lila," Zack asks

I hold up my arm, "I still have a cast on remember? most of my stuff doesn't fit over the cast,"

"5 more weeks and it should come off,"

"I hope so, I'm ready to have my arm back. It's driving me crazy that I can't do anything,"

"You can still draw,"

"Even drawing is getting boring,"

"We'll figure out something that we can do tonight, I promise,"

"Let's go in and set everything up," Grace says

"Who else is coming?" Luke asks

"Evan, Blake, Anthony, and a few other guys from the youth group,"
