"Come on boys, let's go," Sarah says
"Are you even big enough for this hayride? It's the grown-up scary one," Luke says
"I'm plenty big enough,"
"I don't know Sarah, you're cutting it close," Zack teases
"Boys stop, I can handle it,"
When someone dropped down from the tree with a chainsaw, Sarah screamed and jumped into Luke's lap.
"It's okay babe," Luke says trying to comfort her
I hid my face in Zack's shoulder, I was terrified. Zack knew I hated scary stuff, I was only doing it to make him happy.
"It's okay Lila, I've got you," He whispers
"I'm scared Zack,"
"I know, I'm sorry princess, I shouldn't have asked you to come with me,"
"Look, we're at the pumpkin patch," Luke says
"I'm staying here," Sarah says. I could tell she had been crying.
"Me too,"
"We'll get you guys a pumpkin then," Luke says
"No, don't leave me," Sarah cries
"Here, I'll go, Lila can you let me go?"
"But, I'm scared,"
"It's okay Lila, they aren't going to do anything right now, there are little kids around,"
"Come here Lila, I'll keep you safe," Luke says
"I'll be back in a minute okay? I'm grabbing two pumpkins and I'll get get back on the hayride,"
"Please hurry,"
"I will,"
I hugged Luke tightly and he did his best to comfort me
"Boo!" Zack yells, he reaches his hand through the railing and touches Sarah and I causing us to jump. The boys laughed as Sarah and I started crying again.
"Oh come on girls, it wasn't that bad,"
"I hate you, Zackary James,"
"Come on babe, I was trying to be funny, come here,"
I shook my head, "I'm staying with Sarah,"
"Guys it wasn't that bad, it was funny," Luke says.
"You guys are mean," Sarah says
"Sarah, we didn't mean it,"
"Save it, Luke Michael,"
"Ooh middle names, they're mad,"
"What was your first hint?"
"Please calm down babe, it was just to be funny," Zack says
"Thank God this is almost over, I think we're going to hang out with other girls,"
"Go ahead,"
"Really, you're just going to let them go?" Luke asks
"They're mad enough at us,"
"Good point, just be careful girls,"
"We will," Sarah says
"Can we meet you guys at the snack building in an hour?" Zack asks
"Are you guys going to be nice this time?"
"Yeah, we will, I promise, "Luke says
