Lake Day and Zack's Birthday!

"Lila, wake up,"

I felt someone gently shaking me, my eyes slowly opened, I saw Grace sitting down beside me.

"What time is it?"

"It's almost noon, they're going to be serving lunch soon,"

"I can't believe I slept all morning,"

"I knew you weren't feeling well yesterday, So I let you sleep in today,"

"Yeah, I still don't feel 100%, but I'm hungry, so I'll eat something,"

"We're having Chick Fil A catered for lunch today, or if you want something else I can make you a burger or whatever you want"

"That sounds good, I'm hungry so I'll eat almost anything,"

"Zack has been asking about you all morning,"

"Really?"

"I think it scared him that you didn't come to breakfast this morning,"

"I'm not surprised, he's been keeping a close eye on me the last few days, I'll talk to him and let him know I'm okay,"

"Is everything okay between you guys?"

"Yeah, after the fight we had the other night everything has been good,"

"I'm glad you guys made up,"

"Me too, I hate fighting with him,"

"There you are," Sarah says as Grace and I walked into the dining hall

"Sorry, Grace let me sleep in. I'm still not feeling the greatest,"

"Zack has been worried about you,"

"I know, where is he, I want to talk to him and show him I'm okay,"

"He, Luke and Asher are on their way, they went back to their cabin to change into swim clothes, we're going to the lake after we eat lunch,"

I looked down and realized I was still in my pajamas, I knew I was forgetting something. "I guess I'll change after lunch,"

"If you feel up to joining us if you need the afternoon to rest, we understand,"

I shook my head, "I want to join you guys, Today is Zack's birthday and I slept through the entire morning,"

I felt two arms gently wrap around my waist, "I missed you," Zack says giving me a gentle kiss on the cheek.

"I missed you too, sorry I wasn't around much yesterday, Eating the whole pizza the other night made me sick yesterday,"

"Do you feel better now?"

"Mostly, my stomach still hurts, but I feel a lot better than I did yesterday,"

"I'm glad you're feeling better, you had me worried,"

"I know, I'm sorry, I slept 90% of yesterday, I only came out of my cabin to go to the service, even then I sat in the back away from everyone in case I needed to get up,"

"I should have been there for you,"

"That's sweet, but I didn't want you to get in trouble by coming into our cabin,"

"I would have talked to Pastor Evan or Grace first,"

"I know, but I doubt they would have let you stay with me alone,"

"Luke and I stayed in the same cabin as you for fall weekend last year, remember that?"

"Yeah, but there were also two people in the cabin with us to make sure nothing happened,"
