I couldn't sleep last night, the excitement of going to camp was kept me awake. I had stayed the night at Sarah's house last night, and the boys were picking us up early this morning. I had just finished packing my last minute items when Zack came up the stairs
"Good morning beautiful,"
I gently kissed him, "Good morning,"
"Is your bag ready? I'll carry it downstairs,"
"Yeah, I just finished getting everything ready,"
"I'll carry it downstairs and put it in the car,"
"I've got my backpack, I'll meet you in the car,"
Zack picks up my bag and carries it downstairs, I picked up my backpack and followed behind him. As I walked outside, I could feel that it was already starting to get hot outside. I got in the passenger seat as Zack puts my bag in the trunk.
"Good morning, Lila," Luke says
"Good morning,"
"We're just waiting on Sarah, then we can head out," Zack says as he gets into the car
"She was going to the bathroom I think,"
"There she is,"
I yawned, "Good, I can't wait to get in the van and go to sleep,"
Sarah gets into the car, and Zack backs down her driveway
"You look tired,"
"I didn't sleep much, I was too excited about camp,"
"I was too nervous to sleep much because I'm preaching tonight,"
"You are going to do amazing, I can't wait to see you up there,"
"Just don't break your arm this year," Luke says
"I don't want to, It took forever for me to heal, and I had to get surgery because it didn't heal right, It took me almost 9 months to feel normal again,"
"Last year you had a rough week, you passed out, got sick, and broke your arm, all in the span of a few days," Sarah says
"I know, hopefully, this year is better,"
"It will be, I promise," Zack says
We pull into the church parking lot and Zack parks the car.
"We'll load the bags in the van if you guys want to load up," Luke says
"I'm getting a donut first, I'm hungry," Sarah says
"Grab us some too," Zack says
"I'm gonna get in the van and lay down,"
"Go ahead, I'll be there in just a minute and you can lay your head on my lap,"
I walked to the van and got inside. Grace was securing Emmy's car seat. "Good morning, Grace,"
"Good morning, Lila,"
"Hi Emmy," I sat beside her and tickled her stomach, causing her to giggle
"She loves her Auntie Lila,"
"I love her too, She's so cute,"
"She looks more like Evan every day,"
"I noticed that too, but she acts just like her mommy,"
"I'm just hoping she sleeps through the car ride and we don't have to stop a lot for me to feed her or change her,"
"I'm sure she'll be fine,"
