"Good morning, Lila," Sarah says
"I'm tired, I didn't sleep well last night,"
"Me either, I kept thinking about the service last night,"
"I'm just nervous about today, It's the sports day, and you know I'm not good at anything athletic,"
"Everything will be fine,"
"I feel like something is going to happen, I don't know what though,"
"You're worrying too much, come on let's go eat breakfast, I'm hungry,"
"I'm coming,"
We walked outside and walked along the path to the dining hall where everyone was waiting outside.
Zack wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my cheek "Good morning,"
"Good morning Zack,"
"You okay?"
I nod, "I'm just tired, that's all,"
"I know you're nervous about today, but I promise everything is going to be okay, I'll make sure I'm on your team so I can protect you,"
"Something is going to happen, but I don't know what, I have this gut feeling,"
"You don't have to participate if you're scared of getting hurt, I'll sit out with you,"
I shook my head, "We're going to compete, I'm not taking that away from you,"
He kissed my cheek, "Just let me know if you want to stop and we'll go find something else to do,"
"Let's eat breakfast, hopefully, my nervousness will go away,"
"I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere,"
We walked inside the dining hall, and sat down at our normal table, Luke and Sarah were already sitting and the food had already been served to our table.
"There you guys are," Luke says
"Sorry, we were talking, I'm nervous about today, and Zack has been trying to calm me down,"
"Don't worry Lila, we're on the purple team together, Zack and I will protect you,"
"I just have this bad feeling that something is going to happen, I can't shake it no matter what,"
"Even if something does happen, we'll be right there to help you,"
"Dude, don't scare her," Zack says
"I'm not, I'm reminding her that we're going to be there for her no matter what,"
I pushed my plate away, I was too anxious to eat now. Zack lightly squeezed my hand, trying to comfort me.
"Way to go, Luke," Sarah says
"I didn't mean to scare her,"
"Well, you did,"
"Guys stop, you aren't helping," Zack says
"I'll see you guys outside, listening to you arguing isn't helping,"
"Don't go, Lila," Sarah says
I shook my head, "I can't listen to the arguing,"
"Let me come with you then," Zack says
"Stay and finish your breakfast, I'll be fine,"
I got up and walked outside. I walked over to the volleyball court and sat down on the bench.
"Lila?"
"What Zack?"
He sits down beside me and holds my hand, "I wanted to make sure you're okay,"
