"Come on Lila, we have to get you all dolled up for your date with Zack," Sarah says

"It's just valentines day, and we aren't doing anything fancy, he's still upset about everything that happened last month,"

"You did try to walk in front of a moving car, and almost broke your arm again,"

"I didn't though,"

"Only because Blake saved you,"

"I'm still here aren't I?"

"Yes, and I'm thankful you are, I couldn't handle those two alone,"

"How did you manage before I moved here?"

"I don't know honestly,"

"I felt the same way last summer when you weren't talking to anyone, I missed girl time,"

"We've had a lot of that recently,"

"I know, I love spending time with you, my sisters, and Grace,"

"Speaking of Grace, have you heard anything from her?"

"No I haven't, I know she's still pregnant, but that's all I know,"

"She's like two weeks late,"

"I think they'll induce her soon,"

"She's doesn't want that, she wants a natural birth,"

"She's crazy,"

"I said the same thing, but if anyone can do it, she can,"

"Hopefully she can have the birth she wants,

"I hope so too, she said that she'd text me when she was in labor and after the baby arrives and I've heard nothing yet,"

"Hopefully it's soon, they won't let her go too much longer,"

"Oh, Zack texted me,"

"What does it say?"

I've been thinking a lot about what happened a few weeks ago and I think we need a break where we don't go on dates or hang out much. I love you with all my heart and that's why I think this is going to be beneficial for us, we both need to focus our eyes on God to make this work, I promise we're not breaking up, just spending a few weeks apart to get our priorities straight.

"He wants to take a break,"

"He what?"

I gave her my phone so she could read the message for herself. I couldn't control the tears that were freely falling at this point.

"I can't believe it,"

"I'm so sorry Lila, I'm going to tell Luke what's going on, I'm not leaving you here alone on Valentine's day,"

"Don't cancel your date with him,"

"I want to, No girl should ever be ditched on Valentine's day,"

"I just feel bad, you've been looking forward to tonight forever,"

"We can always go out another night, Luke's okay with it, I promise,"

"It just sucks I got ready for no reason, and now my makeup is ruined,"

"Get something comfortable on, we're going to sit in the basement and watch movies tonight,"

"I'm going to take my makeup off,"

"Go ahead, I'll get you something comfy to change into,"
