Why my Bella?

The Attack

Bella POV

It was a little after seven when we arrived back at the house. I headed straight to the kitchen to cook Charlie supper. I decided to make charlie speghetti with garlic bread. I love to cook and besides that he would probably set the kitchen on fire. It was an hour before charlie's supper was ready.

I watched Charlie as he ate his supper. He asked, "why aren't you eating?" I replied, "vampire don't eat human food and when they do their body rejects it." He just replied, "Oh okay." He continued to eat his supper. When he finished, I took his plate and washed the dishes. He left the kitchen to go into the living room to watch television.

When I finished doing the dishes,  headed into the living room to sit on the couch next to Charlie. I Asked him, "Do you know what?" He relied, "what?" I told him, "vampires never sleep." He turned to me and said, "What?" I replied, "It's true, vampires never sleep." Charlie said, "that sounds very strange." I told him, "I know it does, I thought it was strange when Edward told me. " He asked, "so, what are you going to do when I'm asleep?" I replied, "well, I guess I'll probably just read a book." He responded, "oh okay." 

A few hours later, Charlie got off the couch and said, "well, I'm going to bed, good night Bella." I replied, "good night dad." He turned off the television and headed up the stairs. A few minutes later I headed up stairs to my room. I started reading a book called He Saved Me. It is a book with vampires in it. 

It was close to one in the morning, when I caught an unfamiliar scent. It was another vampire, I rushed to Charlie's room. When I got there, there was a vampire only inches from Charlie's neck. Through clenched teeth I let out a low growl. The vampire turned around and looked at me. I spoke, "Get away from my father or prepare to die." 

Before I could stop him, he bit Charlie on the neck. I threw the vampire out of the window. Charlie was scream off the top of his lungs and looked like he couldn't controll his movement. The vampire jumped in threw the window again. I grabbed him by the neck and snapped it. 

I didn't know what to do! Charlie was screaming because of the venom. He could lose his relationship with Billy if he was a vampire. I wasn't going to let that happen. I put my mouth to charlies neck and sucked the blood until his blood tasted clean. His heartbeat got really faint. I had to get him to the hospital.
