Another month has passed after that quick vacation with my cousins sa Palawan. I just came back from Manila. Done with another round of diagnostic testing for this month and two months na lang din at board exams na namin. Mas pinagbutihan ko ang pagri-review, erasing and ignoring the negativity of life. Charot. Ignoring my heart and its consequences. Brain muna. Si brain naman.

Actually, kahapon lang talaga ako bumalik and today is another day kaya naisipan kong mag-jogging na naman. Another two hours of burning some unnecessary fats.

Airpods on my ears and the phone is just on my left arm. I rested for a while on a big mango tree. The morning air in this kind of environment is the air I want to breathe for the rest of my life. Malamig tapos sobrang fresh pa. I can also see some moist on the grass of the sugarcanes.

Ang sarap talagang mag-jogging kapag nature ang iyong kasama. Unlike when you're in some big cities, na puro buildings and masiyadong masalimoot na world. At saka, mahirap hagilapin ang ganitong klaseng environment, 'no!

Some random music is playing on my airpods when suddenly, it stopped and then it rings. Nakuha ko ang phone ko sa left arm to check the notification and then a peppy smile flaunt on me.

Lola Auring is calling.

"Hello, 'La! Good morning po!" Masiglang bati ko. Mas lalong naging maganda ang umaga ko.

"Apo! Good morning too!" Pa-sweet na sagot naman ni Lola. Mas lalo akong nangiti. Nagpapalambing kasi si Lola.

"Bakit ang aga n'yo naman pong tumawag, 'La?" I put the phone back on the case and continue jogging.

"I've heard you're home, apo?"

"Yes 'La, just yesterday lang po."

"Good, good. So, what are you doing right now?"

"I'm endulging myself with some jogging, La."

She chuckled on the other side of the line.

"Can my apo come here later? I want to see you, apo." pinagbuksan ako ng sekyu ng gate nang makarating ako sa bahay. "Or you need to review pa rin?"

"Oo naman po, Lola! I can go there today. It's Saturday naman po and puwede naman po akong magpahinga muna sa pagri-review, 'La. Actually nga po, balak ko nga po sanang pumunta r'yan today kaso ang sabi schedule po ng monthly check-up n'yo po?"

"Yes, it is my schedule today pero you can go here before kaming umalis ni Lolo mo. May ipapagawa sana ako sa 'yo, and I know it is you who can only do it."

Wala sa sarili akong ngumisi habang papasok ng bahay.

"Lola naman! Ang sabihin n'yo po, masiyado na pong busy ang mga apo n'yo kaya ako na lang po ang tinawagan n'yo po," pagbibiro ko. Lola snorted a laugh, a pompous laugh.

"Hindi naman, na-miss ko lang talaga si Constancia ko," wika ni Lola sa malumanay na paraan.

"Sige po 'La, shower lang po ako then d'yan na po ako magbi-breakfast."

"Sige apo, mag-ingat ka sa pagmamaneho papunta rito ha?"

"Bye 'La!" I imitate a kiss before ending the call.
