Perfectly Imperfect | Jung Jaehyun

Chapter 1

Haeun sat in the circle with her legs crossed out in front of her.

"I hate sitting in this position, it makes me look fat," She thought.

Right now, she was at a party that her best friend, Doyoung, forced her to go to and "socialise". But, she hadn't been socialising, unless, if Doyoung making her join games counted. Which she was sure, didn't.

Doyoung sat next to her with two cups of beer and passed her one, "Haeun, cheer up! The party hasn't even started yet!"

She sighed and took a sip of the beer. Soon, people started joining the circle and discussing what game to play.
It ended up on beer pong.

The teams were Haeun and Doyoung, Johnny and Taeil and Yuta and Jaehyun.
It was awkward for her, since she was the only girl, but the rest of the guys didn't mind. The guy that caught her eye the most, was Jaehyun, though

His features were so handsome. His sharp jaw, deep cheekbones and the dimples when he smiled were the winner.

Haeun had dimples, too, but they weren't in the middle of her cheeks, like his.
She thought it was the only thing that made her pretty, those dimples when she smiled.

"Haeun can start," Yuta said.

She nodded and aimed the ball at the cup and threw it. It went in and cheers went off around her.
Yuta picked up the cup and downed it.

After several more rounds, she realised beer pong was another useless talent she had. Her and Doyoung were now in the lead, but Jaehyun and Yuta didn't look drunk at all. She started getting a bit tipsy, though.

Jaehyun threw the ball into the cup and she picked it up and placed it on her lips, weakly, before downing the whole cup.

"Ooh, is someone getting drunk already?" Jaehyun sniggered.

"No, carry on with the game," She clapped my hands and waited for Doyoung to finish them off.
He missed. She sighed as Yuta and Jaehyun cheered, loudly.

Yuta threw the ball into the last cup and cheered, smugly.
Doyoung tipped it all and they went to sit on the couch, together.

Haeun felt tired and rested her head on Doyoung's shoulder.
She didn't like him like that and neither did he, but they'd been best friends since forever.

And she knew the real reason why he forced her to go out. To try and show her that not everyone was horrible people.
Haeun was starting to give a little bit more credit, but what could Doyoung expect from after just one game of beer pong.
"Enjoying it?" Doyoung asked.

"Surprisingly, yes. A bit," She smiled.

"Okay, you lay here. I'm going to watch the guys," He placed her on a pillow and joined the guys. Haeun closed her eyes and felt sleep coming on soon.

Whilst Haeun fell asleep, the guys were playing beer pong and having a discussion about her.

"Hey, Doyoung. It's good that you brought Haeun here. Someone seems to have an interest to her," Johnny laughed and looked at Jaehyun.

Jaehyun shook his head and said, "She's really pretty and cute, that's all."

"Seriously?" Doyoung said, slightly excited.

"She's cute, alright. But, I don't know," Said Yuta.

"You have a girlfriend, asshole. So do the rest of you," Jaehyun laughed.

"But, yeah, she seems cool. Can I ask her out?" Jaehyun said and aimed the ball into the cup.

"You have to wait a bit, you just met her!" Taeil laughed.

"Just ask for her number or if you'd be seeing her at a other party, soon and maybe you could go together," Johnny advised.

Jaehyun looked over to her and saw she was sleeping.
She looks so cute.

What Jaehyun found appealing about her was her curvy figure. Jaehyun was a slim guy, but curves appeared as really sexy for him.

Her face was cute, too. She had cute lips that weren't too thin or full and a small button nose. Her eyes were big and round and her hair was long and brown, tied up into a ponytail.

(By the way, if you haven't read 'Thick', you should and the main characters appearance in this is slightly how I imagined the main in 'Thick'. Ok BYE)

Doyoung warned him, "Be gentle with her, she's fragile, Jae."
Jaehyun nodded but wondered why.

Haeun woke up when Doyoung pushed her slightly.
"Can we leave?"

"Yes, let's go," Doyoung pulled her up and she rubbed her eyes.
She saw Jaehyun stare at her with his mouth opened and she furrowed her eyebrows, rudely.

Jaehyun looked taken aback and snapped out of it.
"Guys, we're leaving, now," Doyoung announced.

"Oh, cool. Bye guys," Yuta said and looked at Jaehyun.

Jaehyun sighed and walked to Haeun. He tapped her shoulder and she turned to face him, "Oh, Jaehyun. What is it?"

"Um, I was wondering if I could get your number?" He asked.
Haeun was surprised, this only happened to her before, once and it ended up badly.

But she gave it to him, anyways.
"Will you come to the next party?" Jaehyun asked.
"Maybe, it was fun, today."

She smiled and turned away, again.

Jaehyun walked back to the group and smiled goofily.

"I bet you can't make her fall in love with you and fall out of love with you in 15 days," Yuta challenged.

"No way, dude," Jaehyun said.

"Whatever, you wuss," Yuta tried agitating him, but it didn't work.

"Yuta, no! We've gone so long, what's gotten into you?" Said Taeil.

"Bro, I'm bored! Jaehyun doesn't even have a girl!"

They all shook their heads, disapproving.

Haeun, however, was over the moon. She smiled, thinking it was like the movies and novels she read. They had met at a party, and would soon fall in love.

It's made up, though. He just wanted your number.

And she found herself constantly staring at herself in the mirror when she got home and wondering what he had drunk that made him so blind and stupid.

To Haeun, she was too large for anyone's liking.
Maybe it was the negative people who put those thoughts in her head, but it didn't matter anymore.
Haeun thought of herself as wide chested, big hips, thick thighs and just not pretty on any way.

She would just be embarrassing herself with Jaehyun.
