Chapter Two: The Check-Up

(Y/N)'s POV:

I've been working at the Krusty Krab for almost a year now and now it's time for all of us to get a Medical exam. Spongebob was first so Squidward, Mr Krabs, and I waited outside but Mr Krabs was hiding behind the cash register, scared. Spongebob was giggling behind the curtain and from what we could see from the outside, it looked like the nurse was torturing him.

"Squidward, what do you think the nurse is doing to him in there?" Mr Krabs asked.

"It's called a 'Check-up'," Squidward explained making quotation marks with his fingers, "it's an invasion of your personal space that's good for you."

Spongebob suddenly screamed making us gasp and Mr Krabs hid behind the boat where the cash register was in fear. We watched through the curtain to see the nurse grab Spongebob as if she was going to strangle him. I turned away not wanting to watch anymore. After a moment I heard Spongebob jump out so I turned back around. I guess he passed then. Squidward's turn. He walked behind the curtain while Mr Krabs came out of hiding 

"So, boy-o... how was it in there? Anything I should be... terrified of?" Mr Krabs asked.

"Oh, no Mr Krabs! Getting a check-up is the best! The nurse poked me," he poked himself, "and prodded me," he prodded himself, "and jabbed me," he punched himself, "and pulled me," he then stretched, "and twisted me," he twisted himself, "and-"

"Okay, okay," Mr Krabs said covering his mouth, "that's enough."

"You want me to what!" Squidward asked clearly shocked.

Mr Krabs shivered uncomfortably while I was worried about my Octopus friend. What did the nurse ask him to do? Well, I'd never find out. Squidward came out from behind the curtain adjusting his shirt.

"Miss (L/N)?!" The nurse shouted.

I walked behind the curtain and sat on the Medical bed. She took my temperature, checked the back of my throat since she found out I didn't speak, and checked my eyes, ears, blood pressure, and all that nonsense.

"You are healthy Miss (L/N), you just need to speak more," she said handing me my examination paper, "congratulations, you pass."

I came out from behind the curtain and I swear I heard a sigh of relief come from both Mr Krabs and Squidward.

"Is there a... EUGINE KRABS?!" The nurse shouted right in my ear.

"Your turn Mr K," Spongebob said only to see Mr Krabs gone.

We watched Mr Krabs run into his office, locked the door, and barricaded himself behind a brick wall that came out of nowhere. I know Mr Krabs is crazy but holy shrimp this was a whole new level.

"Ha, ha! Looks like the old man is scared of getting his check-up," Squidward teased.

"This is no laughing matter!" The nurse told Squidward, "every employee must get their check-up or the restaurant will be closed under orders of the Bikini Bottom Better Business Bureau."

Squidward gasped, "not the B.B.B.B.B.!"

"You heard her, the-" Spongebob flapped his lips making a sort of 'B' sound.

"Perhaps we could reach some sort of understanding," Squidward told the nurse.

"Oh, oh, I know! We'll give Mr Krabs his check-up over the weekend and you just pick up the results on Monday! Everybody wins!"

"I was just going to bribe her," Squidward said pulling out some money.

"Monday works," the nurse said taking the money and leaving us with Mr Krabs' test.
