Our story begins above the water. A storm is brewing and a certain ship is caught up in it. Onboard are a handful of sailors, a first mate, a Captain and a three-year-old girl. She was the Captain's daughter and her name is (Y/N). Onboard, everyone was doing their duties trying to keep the ship partly intact while little (Y/N) was wandering around not knowing what was going on. The young girl started to climb on things while waves crashed against the ship making it rock violently.
She climbed on the rail as the other side of the ship was hit by a huge wave making (Y/N) fall off the side into the sea. She tried to swim above the water but since she couldn't swim, she just sank. Fortunately, superhero Mermaid-Man and Barnacle-Boy were in the area so they helped the young girl out. They gave her the ability to breathe underwater before giving her to a fish family to take care of her until she was old enough to take care of herself.

(Y/N)'s POV:
I'm moving into a town called Bikini Bottom today and I'm both excited and scared. I'm excited about the new environment and people but scared of how people will react when they find out I don't speak. I'm a selective mute. I use a whiteboard that I carry with me in a little bag to talk to people. I was living next to a pineapple, an Easter Island head and a rock.
I haven't met the people who live there and I don't plan to but, unfortunately, as I was unpacking, I heard a knock on the door. I took a look through the peephole to see a sea sponge in a yellow shirt, red tie, brown trousers that were held up by braces, he had blue eyes, ginger hair and pale skin. Not wanting to be rude, I opened the door to greet my visitor.
"Hi, there! I'm Spongebob Squarepants and I'm your neighbour!" The sponge seemingly known as Spongebob said in a sort of high pitch voice enthusiastically, "what's your name?"
I took out my whiteboard and wrote, 'my name is (Y/N) (L/N). I'm mute so I don't speak,' and showed it to him.
"Oh, well, nice to meet you (Y/N)!" Spongebob stuck out his hand to shake so I did, "would you like to meet your other neighbours?"
I shook my head not wanting to meet new people just yet.
"Oh, okay. I'll see you around (Y/N)," he said waving goodbye.
I nodded and waved goodbye. I watched as Spongebob walked to his pineapple home before I got back to unpacking.
