"Niccola, where are you now?" Kasasagot ko lang sa aking telepono ay ito agad ang bumungad sa akin.

"Just enough to see you right here..." I waved my hands when she finally saw me.

She immediately went to my position and clung her arm to my other arm.

"You missed me that much, eh?" I teased her.

"I really missed you, Niccola. It's been what since you were gone? Almost five years since you were gone. I missed you, Niccola. We missed you here, Niccola!"

"Aww. Na-touched naman ako sa'yo, Roxanne..." with matching pa-baby voice pa ako. Pfft, I also missed her. I also missed them.

I guess, it's nice to be back...

"And he also missed you..."

"Not now, Roxanne..." Naiiling na sagot ko.

I think, I'm not yet ready to talk about it and I don't know when I'll be ready to talk about it.

"Sorry, Niccola..." she suddenly apologized.

"For what?"

"For bringing and opening the topic about him..."

"It's okay, Rox. I understand, okay?"

"Thank you, Nic," she hugged me so I hugged her back.

"Enough with that kind of talk, okay? Kababalik ko lang ngayon so, let's not talk about him right now, okay?"

"Noted, Nic!" She answered cheerfully.

"So, where we are going?" I asked while we are heading to her car.

I just back right now so, I don't have my own car.

Inilagay muna namin ang mga gamit ko sa kotse niya bago niya ako sagutin.

"Are you hungry na ba?"

"Hmm...kinda..."

"So, let's eat first before we go to your house."

I agree to her suggestion. Besides, I don't have a choice but to agree. I'm kinda starving na so it is way better to eat before dropping me at my own house.

I miss my home...

We arrived to the nearest restaurant here. We ordered the foods we wanted and since I'm the one who will pay, she was very excited to order earlier. She ordered a lot of foods she really wanted. She also told me that she was really starving.

I really missed her katakawan.

Hinihintay na lang namin na dumating ang mga inorder namin. May ilan din akong tinake-out na pagkain para sa mga kasambahay na nasa bahay namin.

We talked a lot. We talked on what happened these past few years that I'm not around. She also told me that she and Jake were now engaged and I'm happy for her. Knowing Jake, patay na patay iyon dito kay Rox since we were in senior high school back then. I'm happy kasi sa wakas, sila na ngayon. And I'm hoping, they would last forever.

I'm happy for my cousin.

After the little chit chats to each other, dumating na rin sa wakas ang mga pagkain na inorder namin.

Knowing Rox, she will not ever dare to talk to you kapag nasa harapan na niya ang pagkain. And I would not talk, too.

After eating, nagpaalam muna siya sa akin na pupunta lang daw siya sa rest room. Habang nasa rest room siya ay hiningi ko na ang bill namin at nagbayad na. Kinuha ko na rin ang pinatake-out kong mga pagkain. Sakto naman na dumating si Rox kaya umalis na rin kami.

Nang tuluyang makasakay na kami pareho sa kotse ay pinausad na niya kaagad ito. I get my phone on my bag. I opened it and there's a few messages from my other friends and cousins.

So they knew that I'm coming home, huh?

"How come they knew that I'm coming home?"

"Uh yeah, sorry my favorite cousin!" Napailing na lang ako sa kaniya. Knowing her, for sure nagpost na naman ito sa mga social media accounts niya.

"Yeah, yeah, Rox..."

"I'm that excited that you are coming home na so I can't help myself to posted it to my social media accounts..."

I laughed on what she have said.

Sumandal na lang ako sa may bintana dito sa kotse. Medyo malayo pa ang byahe namin pauwi kaya mas mabuting magpahinga na lang muna ako. Plus the fact na sakay ako sa eroplano kanina, for sure jet lag na naman.

"You want to rest, Nic?" I just nodded.

"Take a rest my favorite cousin. I know that you are that tired plus, meron ka pang jet lag."

"Thank you," I mouthed and she just answered it by smiling.

I felt my phone vibrated so I picked it up. There's a new message so I opened it.

Welcome back, baby...

From: 0930*******

From unregistered number. Who's this?

Ibinalik ko na lang sa loob ng aking bag ang aking phone.

"Who's that, Nic?"

"Just a text from an unregistered number..."

"Baka si-"

"No, impossible. We both know na imposible. Baka prank text lang iyong nagtext kaya pabayaan na natin," agap ko kaagad.

"If you say so..."

Pinili ko na lang na ipikit ang aking mata. Alam kong imposible na siya iyon. Sobrang imposible. Alam kong masaya na siya ngayon sa kaniya and I'm also happy kasi sa wakas, masaya na siya kahit hindi na ako iyong dahilan. Atleast, masaya siya, napasaya ko siya sa ginawa ko.

And I'm hoping, I'm hoping na kapag nagkita kami someday, kaya ko na siyang tingnan sa mga mata tulad ng dati noong mga panahong hindi ko pa siya nagugustuhan.

At sana, sana kaya ko na rin siyang ngitian na parang walang kahit na anong bakas na sakit mula sa nangyari rati.
