"everything"

We walked into the fun fair and it was packed with couples who were obviously here for valentines day. i looked down and smiled at the sight of our hands still intertwined.
"where do you wanna go first y/n" he says, smiling at me.
"hmm omg lets go on the bouncy castle" i say practically dragging him over to it.
we climb on it and i make a dash to the stairs and try to run ahead of mattia until i feel someone pull my legs and i end up sliding down into a straddling position on top of mattia.
i see his smirk and immediately my stomach flutters.
"you thought you could out run me" he laughs, while resting his hands on my waist.
"shut up stupid i could have easily outrun you if you hadnt cheated and pulled my legs" i say while trying to get up from this position.
"hey lets stay like this for a bit longer" he says with a smirk and i wink at him and pull him in until our lips are almost touching.
"no" i say and get out of his grip before he processes what just happened.
"you're such a tease i hate it" he says while grabbing my hand.
"thats payback for this morning loser" i say before running up to the top of the bouncy castle too fast for him to catch me.
After a few minutes he comes up to where i am and he sits behind me and pulls me in close to him. We are at the top and the rest is open so we are looking over the whole fair.
His arms snake around my waist and my heart flutters more. I lean my head back so it rests on his shoulder.
"thank you" i say, quietly.
"for what? i should be thanking you for helping me with everything" he says, looking down at me.
"im glad i did, otherwise i would never have met you" i say, looking into his eyes.
i wish he didnt have to go back to new jersey. i wish he could stay here. with me.
"what are you thinking about" he says gently.
"i really wish you didnt have to go back" i say under my breath but he still manages to hear me.
"i wish i didnt as well. but i still have 2 more weeks with you" he reassures me but i can tell he wants to say more.
"even when i go back, im still going to talk to you everyday, just over the phone instead of face to face." his voice cracks a little as he says that and it breaks my heart.
"but what about everything else. what about our hugs and.." i stop there as i realise ive said too much.
"can i be honest y/n" he asks and i nod.
"i obviously really like you and the time ive been staying here ive caught feelings for you and i never wanted to say anything because well i didnt know how you felt and i didnt want to complicate things because i knew i had to leave soon" he says and he breathes a little sigh of releif, i think hes been holding that in for a while.
i turn around to face him and i slip my hands into his.
"tia i like you too. a lot. i didnt wanna say anything either but i know we can work something out together" i say.
"jeez ive been waiting for this for ages, y/n will you go on a date with me?" he says while smiling.
"yes i will"
"good becuase we're already here and it would have been a bit awkward if you said no" he says and we both start laughing.
we stand up and make our way down to the exit of the castle. at the exit we intertwine our hands again and he kisses me on the cheek. "lets go to the photobooth" he says and we make our way over to it.
We sit in the seats and we take loads of pictures, one of us laughing becuase mattia didnt know where the camera was, one where we were hugging and my face was burried into his shoulder, one with our faces side by side, smiling and the last one where mattia was kissing my cheek while i had a huge smile.
the photos come out perfectly and we each take one strip.
For the rest of the evening we walk around and eat and mattia makes a tiktok with me infront of the candyfloss stand and and i take a few pictures.
For the last ride we decided to go on the ferris wheel. we get to our turn at the top and the sun was setting. it looked so beautiful, purple and pink streaks in the blue sky. I turn to look at mattia and hes already looking at me.
His hand is resting on my leg and we are both looking into eachothers eyes. His hand caresses my cheek and he leans in and i shut my eyes. i feel his soft lips connect with mine and a million fireworks go off in my stomach. I kiss him back and our lips fit together so perfectly it makes me smile. we pull away and i see him smiling just as big as i am.
"you dont know how long ive been waiting to do that" he says softly, while tucking my hait behind my ear.
"trust me i do" i say while smiling at him.
hes perfect. this is perfect. finally.
we come down from the ferris wheel and we walk back to the car.
we sit in the car and we decide to stop off at the chinese takeaway place near my house.
We pull up into the driveway and i look at him and pull him into a hug and kiss him on the cheek.
"what was that for" he says while trying to not blush.
"everything"
Once we have finished eating we go upstairs and change into our pyjamas.
He walks into my room wearing a plain white tshirt and black sweatpants.
how does he still look so good?
We get into my bed and cuddle while watching netflix.
At around 11pm, i feel myself falling asleep on him.
"tia lets go to bed im tired" i mumble.
he turns off the TV and i grab his arm and pull him back onto the bed next to me. I move my face close to his and our lips piece together again and the fireworks go off in my stomach again. This time i can feel his smile growing next to my lips and it makes me smile too.
"stay here with me tonight" i say, patting my bed.
"okay" he says getting into the covers and pulling me close with his arms around my waist.
"goodnight" he says, snuggling into the pillow.
