"wait i forgot"

I opened my eyes and it was still pitch black in the room. I sighed and looked at the time , 2:34am. The thoughts of last night were still circling my mind so i decided to go downstairs and get a drink. 

I came down the stairs and nearly had a heart attack from seeing mattia sitting at the bottom of the stairs. His head snapped around as soon as he heard me. My heart broke at the sight of him, his eyes were so red and he looked so tired. 

"y/n i know it's like 3am but i really need to tell you what happened because i can't sleep knowing your mad at me and that you don't know the full story" he said and his voice wavered a little.

"okay. tell me." i said.

"can we go for a walk? i can tell you on the way." he asked and i nodded and he grabbed a water bottle. We quietly snuck out the house and started walking.

"first of all i am so so fucking sorry i wasn't there to protect you from josh. I had no idea he was going to be there and-" 

"but why were you upstairs" i paused, "with her".

We reached this park near our house and we sat under the blossom tree.

"y/n i literally cannot stand that girl but i didn't know where you were and i asked one of robert's friends if they'd seen you and she was near so she must have heard because she came up to me and told me there was an emergency and that you had run upstairs crying so of course i ran upstairs trying to find you but i didn't know she was planning on coming with me so when i turned around near one of the rooms she was right behind me which was hella creepy. I asked her which room you went into and she just grabbed me and kissed me and i pushed her off straight away and as soon as i heard jemma call your name i realised you probably saw it and thought something else had happened." he said and i turned to look at him.

"I'm sorry i ran away , i was so confused and seeing her kiss you made me so sad. i knew it was something she must have planned because me and you mum both said you wouldn't do that." i replied and he breathed a sigh of relief.

"wait you told my mum?" he asked  , smiling.

"she opened the door and saw me crying so i had to tell her and then we talked for ages about you and how your so annoying" i said and gave him a small smile.

"hey that's mean , wait is she mad at me ?" he asked looking a little worried.

"no we both agreed that Ivy was behind it and we were talking about you" i replied.

"what were you sayingg" he whined.

"that you're annoying asf" i replied and he elbowed me.

"meanie"

"hmm"

"wait are you sure you're okay tho? did josh hurt you?" he asked.

"i'm fine i promise , i was just in shock at first" i replied and leaned my head on his shoulder.

"i'm really sorry y/n , i should have been there to protect you" he said and i lifted my head and looked into his eyes.

"it's okay tia , it wasn't your fault" 

He pulled me closer and we were just about to kiss when he quickly pulled away.

"wait i forgot" he said while pouring some of the water from the bottle into the cap and using his finger to wash his lips. I laughed at him and he pulled me close and kissed me and i kissed him back. We leaned our heads against each other and sat in a peaceful silence. 

"oh i forgot to tell you , after you ran out jemma saw me push Ivy away and slapped the shit out of her and she told her never to come near us again and then Vic had to calm her down" 

"oh my god really! jemma's not usually a violent person" 

"well she is when it comes to protecting you" he said and i smiled.

"after everything calmed down , i told her what happened and she messaged you to tell you but you didn't open it" he said.

"i was so tired and- omg wait arn't you meant to be staying at kairi's?" i asked

"how was i supposed to stay at Kairi's when you were at home by yourself being sad" he replied and smiled at me. I gave him one more kiss and we decided to head home. We got home by 4am and went to our room and got into bed and cuddled.

"you know i meant what i said. i really can't sleep without you anymore" he said quietly and i kissed his cheek.

"i love you"

"i love you more" was all he said before we were both fast asleep.
