We pulled up to the bar and I'm overwhelmed by how many cars are parked right now. This is ridiculous. I wonder who is all here. I feel a little bad because I didn't know it was Lachlan's birthday. Now I'm debating with myself if I should break things off with him. Just for tonight, of course. Well I guess I'll just play it by ear tonight. Lannan and I walk in holding hands. We are greeted by literally everyone! After we made our round we saying hi to everyone We sat at a table by Fresh and Mully. Lannan leaves me to go get some drinks for us. I look over my shoulder and I see the booth where Lachlan and I shared a kiss. It gave me goosebumps on remembering how soft his lip were. I look back towards the front and here comes Ilsa.
Ilsa: hey girl! Thank you so much for letting me help Lannan set this up. Lachlan is going to love this!
Y/N: he definitely will! How have yall been?
Ilsa: we've been good we haven't officiated anything but I feel it coming soon
(She squeaks)
Y/N: that's really good I'm happy for you!
I tried my hardest to not seem feisty. Which I shouldn't even be feeling. It's hard when all these memories of Lachlan keep popping up in my head. Lannan returns carrying 2 drinks in his hand and says Hi to Ilsa. The conversation is friendly between both of them. I'm looking to see if I see any awkwardness to them. Hey you just never know. I don't trust her. Lannan gives me my drink and puts his arm around my shoulder.
Lannan : Any word on where he's at?
Ilsa: yes I just spoke to him he's about 5 minutes away.
Lannan: alrighty I can't wait to see the look on his bloody face!
Ilsa goes to the front and Lannan grabs my hand and leads me towards the front as well. We wait for what seems like forever but I'm sure it was only like 2 minutes. A little after Lachlan walks in.
Surprise!!!!!
He got frightened at first then he was in total shock. Ilsa runs to him giving him a kiss on the cheek. Then Lannan goes up to him and gives him a handshake with a hug. Lannan's back was facing me so Lachlan and I caught a glimpse of each other. He gave me a wink. Crap I hope nobody else saw it. Lannan backs out of the hug.
Lannan: I so got you!
Lachlan: yeah you did mate! I didn't see this coming!
Lannan heads over to the bar with Lachlan to buy him a drink. I go sit down at the table we were previously sitting at. I'm joined by Tannar and Liv.
Tannar: wow that was loud!
Liv: Right! My ears Ache!
Tannar: too bad All the cute boys are taken ughh sucks to be single!
Y/N: I'm sure it's not that bad. See look around you could be with anyone here! Well anyone who's single anyways.
The conversation continues on in the background. I lose focus not really paying attention to what they are saying anymore. I look towards the front of the bar to see if I see Lannan and Lachlan. I catch them quickly. I see Lannan talking to the bartender ordering the drinks. Lachlan is looking around. Lost in a way. I bet he's looking for Ilsa. He then looks my way. He winks and mouths the works "Check your phone". I take my phone out my purse and I have a text from him.
>>wow you look so damn beautiful! I want to be with you later tonight!
Omg I clenched my phone. Reading that text made me so hot. I was blushing. I feel bad for feeling this way but at this moment I wanted him so badly as well.
Tannar: Earth to Y/N! Do you hear me! (She waves her hands back and forth)
Y/N: oh crap guys I'm sorry I spaced out. (I lock my phone and put it back into my purse)
Liv: is everything okay?
Y/N: I'm fine guys really. Don't worry about me
We are joined by Lannan and Lachlan.
Lachlan: hello beautifuls!
We all say hi and tell him happy birthday. I can't even look at him in the eyes right now because I know I'll start blushing and Lannan will notice. He's desperately trying to get my attention. Anything so that I could look at him. Everyone is talking in a group conversation. I'm really not engaging. I'm more so looking around and dancing in my chair to the music.
Lannan: Damn my love you finished your drink already!
Everyone puts their attention on us.
Y/N: yes sorry I was thirsty
(I laugh)
Lannan chugs the rest of his.
Lannan: I'm going to the bar does anyone else want something?
Tannar: yes please! I want a vodka cranberry.
Liv: I as well!
Lannan: come with me because I won't be able to carry them all back
(He tells Tannar and Liv)
I'll be right back babe.
(He kisses me on the cheek)
It's just Lachlan and I sitting here. The music gets louder.
Lachlan: alone at last. You look so gorgeous. (He says in my ear)
Y/N: You don't look so bad yourself!
Lachlan: I knew you would be here so I dressed for you.
Y/N: I like that.
Mid conversation I realized what I was doing. Its obvious we were flirting. Thankfully the music is so loud I'd doubt anyone was listening. I look around to see if anyone was paying attention. Sure enough I caught eyes with Bazza. Fuck! I think he caught what was going on.
Lachlan: you're too paranoid. Loosen up a bit.
