# 🔥 Red Moon 🌙
**Maya**
"JADE! WHERE ARE YOU?"
Her voice echoed through the school hallways.
**Alex**
"Jade! Please come out!"
Everyone split up, looking in every classroom and hallway.
"Help, guys!"
Suddenly they heard a scream.
"AAAAH!"
Alex's eyes went wide.
"Oh my God... Jade!"
"Bathroom!" Maya yelled.
Alex took off running.
"Come on! She needs us!"
They all rushed into the girls' washroom.
Jade was on the floor, shaking, trying to breathe as tears rolled down her face.
"Jade!" Alex dropped beside her.
"Calm down. It's okay."
"It's... it's a red moon," Maya whispered as she looked out the window.
Alex looked outside.
The moon was glowing a deep blood red.
His face went pale.
"Oh no..."
"She can't control it," Maya said. "Not during a red moon."
Another scream escaped me.
"AAAAA! Make it stop!" It freaking hurts
I grabbed my arm as another wave of pain shot through my whole body.
Alex looked around.
"We have to get her to the back woods. Now."
"What are you going to do?" Maya asked.
"I'm changing." Someone think of something!
"I'm going to carry her there."
"But if you change," Maya said, "you won't be able to control yourself either."
Alex shook his head.
"I can."
"No you can't! It's not like the movies."
"I've trained for this."
Another scream echoed through the bathroom.
"AAAAA!"
Alex looked at me.
"I'm sorry, Jade."
Before anyone could stop him, his body shifted.
His claws came out.
Dark gray fur covered his body.
Within seconds, his wolf stood where he had been.
Everyone stared.
"He... he controlled it," Nichole whispered.
Alex carefully nudged me.
"It's okay."
He gently helped me onto his back before running as fast as he could through the school doors and toward the woods.
The cool night air rushed past us.
I could feel my body changing more with every second.
The pain kept getting worse. It was the worst feeling I ever experienced
