# Who's Is She?

As Alex came down to the basement to see his mate, he stopped when he saw Dad sitting beside me.

Then he noticed the girl sitting next to him.

He looked at her.

"Who's she?"

He pointed toward Lunar.

"Oh, sorry," Lunar said as she quickly stood up. "I'm Lunar."

She held out her hand.

Alex looked at her.

Then suddenly his expression changed.

He felt it.

The red moon.

The new wolf inside her.

Alex slowly stepped backward.

"Who did this to you?"

Lunar looked confused.

Alex already knew she hadn't been born a full wolf.

He could sense it.

She had been changed.

Lunar looked down at her arm.

Then she showed him where they had put it inside her.

Alex's eyes widened.

"A needle?"

She nodded.

He looked at Dad.

"So I guess we have two new pups."

He glanced toward me.

Dad nodded.

"It's okay. We'll help her."

A girl walked over.

"I'm Maya," she said.

"And this is my sister, Leanna."

They sat down beside me and Lunar.

Maya looked at Lunar.

"Who did this to you?"

Lunar took a shaky breath.

Then she started telling them everything.

"I was thirteen."

Everyone listened.

"I'm fourteen now, but it started when I was thirteen."

She looked down.

"It was just like any other day. I was walking to school when a truck pulled up beside me."

Her hands started shaking.

"Someone got out."

"What happened?" Leanna asked softly.

"They shot me with something."

Maya's eyes widened.

"You were shot?"

Lunar nodded.

"I fell before I could even get up."

She swallowed.

"Everything went black."

"When I woke up, I was in a room."

Her voice became quieter.

"They kept putting things inside me."

"What kind of things?" Alex asked.

"I don't know."

Lunar shook her head.
