After I finished eating, I climbed back into my seat and grabbed my iPad good thing I didn't forget this I said to myself. I clipped it onto the back of jade's seat it fit perfectly just like it always did. "If I forgot it, I wouldn't be able to watch my movies." I smiled and opened one of my favourite movies. While it played, I looked over at Jade she was busy on her phone texting her friends and watching videos. She looked kinda of sad when my movie ended, I played a game for a while after that I turned my iPad off and looked out the window there were so many cars on the highway. I signed mom? "Yeah buddy?" "What time are we going to be at dad's? I'm getting bored." Mom smiled through the rearview mirror. I know sweetheart it's a long drive we could all talk for a while if you'd like I nodded. Okay mom glanced over at Jade" Jade why don't you put your phone away for a bit and keep your brother company? Jade didn't even look up. "But mom I'm texting Kate and Zoey I'm telling them I'm moving to dads and I won't be there for this school year. You can finish later mom said gently "right now, ace wants someone to talk to I have to keep my eyes on the road." Jade let out a quiet sign. Fine for a second I felt bad mom and Jade argued because of me sometimes. I never meant to cause it. I just didn't want to be bored Jade turned around in her seat and smiled at me " hey buddy what you want to talk about? I thought for a minute school she nodded are you scared about starting at a new school I quietly nodded yea a little she smiled that's okay I'm nervous too. What if nobody likes me. Oh they will how do you know. Because your funny kind why would no one want a friend like That I smile a little. I hope so I said for the next little while we watched the scenery pass by outside. Then we drove past an exit sign mom?" Jade asked are we almost there?" Mom smiled "just a few more minutes we will be" you'll be at your dad's before you know it Jade and I looked at each other and smiled we had just seen dad last week, but already felt like forever I couldn't wait to see him again. I missed helping him out around the farm. And somehow... I had a feeling this move was going to change all of our lives.
