I climbed into the front passenger seat and plugged my phone into the charger. IT was already down to fifty percent, and I didn't want it dying before we go to dad's. I still had to text my friends and let them know I wouldn't be coming back to school with them. I opened my messages but couldn't bring myself to type.

Hey,guys...im moving to my dads. just thinking about sending it made my chest ache I was going miss Kate and Zoey so much...and everyone else too Ace climbed into the back seat hugging his stuffed wolf while mom got behind the wheel I connected my phone to the car nd picked a playlist. a song started playing quietly through the speakers as mom started the engine. after a few minutes of driving my stomach growled "Hey mom?" she glanced over at me "yeah?" "can we grad something to eat? I didn't have breakfast "sure," she said with a smile where do you two want to go?" I looked back at Ace McDonald's? his eyes lit up immediately "yes!!" mom laughed "McDonald's it is. Ace and I cheered together making mom shake her head with a smile A few minutes later we pulled in the drive-thru "what do you guys want ?" mom asked "ill have a burger, fries and a 7UP." Ace grinned "ill have what jade's having "'you always copy me." it makes ordering easier he said proudly. mom smiled " he's not wrong she ordered our meals through the speaker before adding her own. as usual," I teased "A big mac fries and a coke?" "you know me too well she replied with a laugh we pulled up behind another car and waited and waited anddd waited I sighed dramatically." are they buying the whole restaurant or are they just sitting there? mom burst out laughing.
