“Hello.” I said to the girl. She looked at me blankly but said “Hi.” “You dropped this.” I held out my hand holding a book. She didn’t actually drop it, I took it out of her bag but whatever, same difference. I needed an excuse to speak to her. With every movement she made me fall a little further into her spell. She looked down at my hand then back to my face. “Oh thanks.” She gave a small smile. She stretched out her hand to take the book but I flipped the book around the front cover was facing me and read “Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.” She blushed and said “Yeah that’s my favourite book.” I nodded and said “It’s a great book.” Her face lit up and she said “I thought I was the only one that thought so! I mean I rarely meet any hot guys who read!” I waited for her to process what she had just said before I reacted. But in a split second she said “Oh my god sorry... I ... Uh...” She hid her face in her hands and I let out a small laugh and said “No no, it’s okay.” I took her hands in mine and moved them off her face. She slowly lifted her head and blushed. I could tell she still felt embarrassed so I said “I never really got a chance to introduce myself.” Smiling, I said “I’m Silas Michelson.” She let out a small smile and said “Becca Michelson- I mean Thomas!” “Haha not yet at least” I gave a small wink and she blushed. She must’ve been embarrassed but I found her blushing adorable. “It’s almost like Becca Fitzpatrick. Do you want to be a writer when you grow up?” I asked. “I’m not sure.” She replied. I smiled once more at her and took another look at her features. There was no denying that she was still as beautiful as I first thought. I paid attention to everything she said and with every word she spoke, the more intrigued I became.  “Well, I better get going.” I looked down at my phone and the time read 5:46pm. I handed her the book and was about to turn away when she said “wait.” I turned and looked at her as she continued to talk. “Here’s my cell number-” She handed me a ripped piece of paper. “Give me a call sometime.” She gave a shy smile and I said “Sure, I will.” I took the paper from her hand and grinned. Without another word, I started to walk away. I could feel her gaze still on me as I walked away from her car.
