A/N What do you think of the stories and the flash backs? I think this will be the last flashback I add to the story because I finally believe that it will tie up loose ends. (that is, until I one day decide to create more out of holes I will try and find because I'm too lazy to make another book aha) I really hope everyone has enjoyed the story and updates so far, I truly appreciate those who let me know they're there reading. I love to communicate with my readers and hope see comments about this story pop up on my feed even after I decide to close the project (entirely). If you've voted, bless your soul, if not, do so before Silas grabs your soul for himself! But in all seriousness, it is my number one priority to make sure there are people who like the story, I love to see happy readers. I honestly am grateful for everyone who reads, votes and share the story with other wattpaders (or not wattpaders). Reading is something I've always loved, and story writing has become a time for me to let loose and express feelings with words. I always loved the way writers can communicate with readers so well it is a dream of mine to be able to do so too. xxx Mona

"Silas, what the hell did you do?" Erin was standing at the door when Silas walked through. He was covered in blood, his clothes were stained with red and his skin was wet and sticky from the substance. "I..." He started, but didn't know what to say. Sorry I was drugged, I killed a bunch of people and oh yeah, I don't have any solid proof that I was drugged? It was something that was going to take a lot of faith and love to understand. He guessed that if anyone were to have faith in him, it was going to be his mother. "I heard sirens, Silas. I thought nothing of it first but then I see you walk through the door, drenched in blood that isn't your own? Please explain your self." His mother spoke calmly, but it was obvious she was outraged. "I will explain everything, just promise me you'll try to understand." Silas pleaded, his mother nodded. With that, Silas explained everything.

He told her how it had begun with a simple feeding. He'd been drinking at night; carefully cutting a line across somebody's wrist and slowly enjoying the taste of their blood. It'd been a satisfying drink. He then finished up before the person was too drained to stand. It was easy, it was over; he walked away. Then, he'd felt something. It felt like the blood in his veins were chilling, freezing over. His entire body felt cold and he had started to shiver. He quickly leaned against the closest building and then closed his eyes and tried to calm him self down. He had gotten this insanely severe headache that felt hundreds of times worse than a migraine, it was as if his brain were exploding, over and over again. Given his quick healing process, it probably was. Then, it was over- or so he thought. Something came over him, something he couldn't ignore- couldn't stop. He felt an enormous hole in himself, a hole that what only grow and devour himself if it wasn't to be fed. What fed the hole was as clear as day, it could only be satisfied by the feeling of death. Not his own, but other innocent and helpless lives; human lives. He couldn't control the hunger, he would willingly rather have the hold inside him devour his entire existence but the hole would not accept his offering; the hole had a mind of its own. It forced Silas to kill, for pleasure not for survival. In a way, the hole did devour him, it devoured his free will, his mind. What was left of him was not Silas, it was a killer Shadow- the ultimate killing machine; unstoppable and fool proof. Silas was possessed by the darkest parts of himself, and the darkness only grew with time. Thus, blood was shed and death was all around.

"Who did it?" Erin asked him, wanting revenge on whoever started this nonsense. "You believe me?" He asked hopefully. "I believe that my son is not a monster. After all these centuries, you now decide to do this? I think not." She stated surely. A small smile appeared on his face, taking in his mother's support. "I am going to find out who did this and revenge those innocent people, if its the last thing I do." Silas told her. "And of course, your father and I will be here to support you." "Mother, I love you and Father. But after all of this, I need to disappear, go off the radar. For your safety and mine. You understand, right?" I asked. "Whoever did this needs to pay for driving my son in to hiding... but yes, I understand. But promise me Silas, promise that you'll come back." She said sadly. "In time, I promise." Silas responded, indeed hoping to return. "We will get to the bottom of this, we will." Erin told him. With that, the hunt began.
