Okay. The setting of the story is going to be some-what weird, but just bare with me because I'll try to make it good. I think this will be added to my favorites :)) Carry on...

Queen Koriand'r of Tamaran, has passed away, thus making Dick Grayson of Earth, her husband, King. He was not suppose to be King since he isn't originally from Tamaran, but his daughter is far too young to rule. He became a Tamaranian when he married Kori, and he has done a lot for the Kingdom. He led the Warlords to fight the War to which they successfuly won. That is why Tamaran is very fond of him and accepted him as their new King when the previous ruler died.

Mar'iand'r Grayson of Tamaran, his daughter, was next in line for the crown and was the rightful ruler. She was only nine years old and would be Queen when she is eighteen. She still had a lot to learn and she respected her responsibilities as future Queen of her land and planet. She is schooled and trained to be a proper lady that will come in handy when she is Queen, but she also finds it boring and would rather play with her best friend, Damian Wayne.

Damian was General Bruce's son. Bruce was one of the King's most trusted ally and he faught with him during one of Tamaran's worst Wars. His son was introduced to the young Princess when they were six, and they were close friends ever since.

" Man, I hate being a princess!" Mar'i complained after she finished her studies.

" Is it that bad?" Damian innocently asked Mar'i, following her to the long halls with very high ceilings. They stopped at the large double doors -that was her room- and she pushed it open.

" Are you kidding me?! It's the worst!"  she emphasized the word 'worst' which he totally understood how bad it is.

" You can always skip it." he suggested, smirking. She turned to him aggressively in complete disbelief.

" What?!" she demanded. " You know I can't skip 'princess school'. My father would be very disappointed."

" Right...The whole 'next in line' thing, yes, I understand." he muttered and Mar'i gave him an unpleased look. " Apologies your highness." he bowed while smirking, most likely mocking her, knowing that she doesn't like it he calls her that.

" Stop teasing." she scowled and he chuckled.

" I'm sorry." he continued to laugh, he held his stomach with his hands after it started to ache from laughing too hard. " Your face is adorable." he continued to laugh until tears formed in his eyes. Then, he realized what he said and froze.

She was just as surprised and they both stayed quiet until a knock was heard. The two friends looked at the door then each other. They blushed after eye contact was made. Damian cleared his throat. " Who is it?" he asked, covering his red face with his hand. The door opened to reveal Damian's father.

" Ah, Damian you are here." he bowed when he noticed the princess's presence. " Your highness." he greeted. " May I excuse my son, Damian over here?"

" Oh, sure- I mean," she cleared her throat when she remembered her princess lessons on how to speak like a proper lady. " you may." she allowed and Bruce gave a curt nod and left the room with his son.

After that, the two close friends, never saw each other again.

Nine years passed, and Mar'i was finally of age to rule Tamaran. She wasn't excited at all. It's not that she didn't wanted to be Queen, it was because, it's in Tamaranian rules that before the Queen is officially crowned, she needed to be arranged in marriage. It was the way of their people. It didn't matter if her bethroned is from another planet or if she does not truly love him, as long as she is married, she can be Queen.
