EPILOGUE

"I want you to design the project, Dominic."

Kumunot ang noo ko nang marinig ko 'yung sinabi ni Mommy. Hindi ko alam kung ano 'yung tinutukoy niya na project. Marami akong design ngayon na kailangan kong tapusin. Tapos may dagdag na naman?

Narito ako ngayon sa office niya rito sa bahay. Pagkatapos ko kasing umalis sa Spain, hindi ako bumalik ng kumpanya. Hinayaan ko ang sarili ko sa bahay at pansamantalang ginamit ang office niya.

"What project, mom?" I leaned on her chair while looking straight at her. "You know that I'm busy with my other works, right? Why are-"

"You're working with Kim." She cut me off so my eyes widened after hearing what she just said. "You don't want it?"

Hindi ako naka-imik kaya ngumiti siya sa 'kin bago lumapit at tinapik ang balikat ko. I know that Kristina was in our company, dad said it to me. And now, my mom was offering me to work with her.

Is this the right time to show up? How does she look now? How good she is at working?

Those kinds of questions come up in my mind, looking for an answer.

"Fine, I'll do it. Where's the head engineer?"

I met up with the head engineer and told him not to tell Kristina about me being the architect. I don't want her to know kasi baka sa oras na malaman niya, baka bigla siyang umatras doon sa project.

"Where's Engineer Bernardo?" I asked one of the engineers in their department. I need to tell him about the changes I did in the design.

"Nasa site po siya ngayon," she answered.

I smiled at her before thanking her. Maraming bagong engineer ang narito ngayon, kakaunti lang ang kilala ko. I walked towards the office of Engineer Bernardo and called Engineer Althea. Nakasama ko na siya dati sa isang project kaya kilala ko siya.

"Architect, welcome back." She greeted me after we got inside of the office. "How long has it been? Almost two years, right?"

"Yeah," I nodded at him and sat on the couch. "Can you call Engineer Mendoza? I need to tell her something."

"Okay, I  will call her. Nasa site yata siya ngayon." Lumabas na siya sa office pagkatapos niyang tumango. Hinintay kong bumalik si Althea pero ibang boses na ang narinig kong tumawag sa 'kin mula sa labas.

"Architect."

Kristina.

Pinapasok ko siya sa loob ng office at pinagmasdan ko siyang umupo sa tapat ko. She physically changed. The last time I saw her was she's a bit skinny. She's taller than the last time.

"Okay, Architect," she nodded again at me after I said the changes I did. The way she treated me is like I am her boss. She's too formal.
