Chapter Six
LostI quickly sat up from my bed when I heard my phone started ringing on my nightstand. My heart jumped at the tone. I took a deep breath and I don’t even know why I did that. Sigurado ako na si Kade ang tumatawag. Sino pa ang ibang tatawag sa akin? Shaking my head, I reached for my phone.
I was right. Of course, I am.
“Definitely, Maxie. I’m on my way to Red Light right now. Do you want to come with?” Narinig ko ang ngiti sa boses ni Kade. Alam ko yung Red Light. It’s one of the popular clubs around the area. May kalayuan mula sa mansion but that’s fine.
“Who are you with?”
“I’m driving right now. My friends are already in a grill bar near the club. So, do you want me to fetch you? I’m about to pass by your estate.” I bit my lip. I don’t want to stay here in my bed all night thinking of the family dinner… and Rush. No way.
“Alright. I still need to get ready. I’ll be quick.”
“Take your time, Maxwell. It’s fine.” Ibinaba ko na rin ang tawag pagkatapos ‘non para makapaghanda. I still need to pick out a dress and apply a quick make up. Ayaw kong magdala ng kotse kaya hindi na ako kumontra nang inalok ni Kade na susunduin niya ako. I’m planning to get really wasted tonight.
I decided on a black corset top. It was a tiny piece of clothing that only covers my breast and the mid portion of my upper body. The corset was so fitted that it made my chest look bigger. For the bottom, I picked a high-waist jean shorts that goes from my belly button and just two inches below my crotch.
I was half-way done with my make up when Kade reached my place. He called my phone, telling me that he’s already outside and I asked him to wait for another five minutes. Hindi naman ako natagal sa pag make up. I just applied a good amount of foundation, some eyebrow pencil to shape my brows, black mascara, and a lovely shade of red lipstick. I would love to curl my hair but I don’t have time for that kaya hinayaan ko na lang na nakalugay ang buhok ko.
Ayaw kong malaman ng mga maids na wala ako. I might be still out before my parents get here, that's why I was careful on sneaking out. Mapapagalitan ako panigurado once they found out that I chose to go clubbing when I told them that I'm not feeling well. I won't hear the last of it from them. They'll ask for an explanation and I don't really want to tell them na ayaw ko lang makita si Rush. That's going to lead to another explanation and I don't want to talk about it.
Kade was leaning by his car when I got out of the mansion. I bribed our guard to keep his mouth shut with a good amount of cash. It's either he agrees or he'll be jobless by tomorrow. He chose to be smart about it. "Wow, you look great."
"If you're expecting me to say something as equally nice, don't hold your breath."
Shaking his head, he chuckled. "Yeah, I can't be that lucky. Let's go?"
"Wait." Kade stopped from opening the car and turned his head to give me his whole and undivided attention.
