Dave the type of guy who would give his last to a stranger because he never wanna see a soul struggle that's what Tia loved about him the most he is husband material and if you was to ask Dave Tia was wife material
They have been best friends for...
With Dave's album dropping at midnight and his movie premiere tomorrow night, my baby had been running on fumes. He'd been everywhere—meetings, press runs, rehearsals, interviews. It felt like every hour of his day was booked. Rest? He didn't even know what that was lately.
But no matter how crazy his schedule got, he made sure to see us. Every chance he could. He carved out time, even if it meant showing up for fifteen minutes just to kiss the kids goodnight or wrap his arms around me and exhale.
Corey's eighteen and in his senior year. I don't even know how we got here so fast—he's grown, almost a man, and it's bittersweet. Kairi's five and in preschool, already full of sass and so smart it scares me. Kenzie turned two back in January and she's our wild card—sweet, dramatic, and full of energy. And then there's Easton... our newest little love. Just two months old and already got his daddy's dimples and appetite.
It's a beautiful kind of chaos. Loud, messy, full of love.
And even though Dave's world is on fire in the best way right now—his career taking off even more—he never forgets home. Never forgets us.
That's why I hold it down here... because I know he's out there working for us.

Easton is everything. Just like my other babies. I couldn't imagine life any other way. He's already a mama's and daddy's boy, though—just like the rest of them. I swear, not one of my kids ever chooses me over Dave, and it drives me crazy. Ugh. lol.
I glanced at the clock and sighed.
"Corey! Get up, you gone be late!" I yelled down the hall.
"I am, ma," he called back, groggy.
"Don't 'I am, ma' me. This my third time coming to wake you up!"
"I'm up, I'm up."
"Mmhmm," I muttered, shaking my head as I scooped Easton up from my hip. "Come on, Easton. Yo' stupid brother gone be late to school," I mumbled, walking past Corey's room and shutting the door behind me.
I headed to Kairi's room next.
"Kairi, get up for school, mama," I said gently, brushing her cheek.
"Mmhmm."
"Nope. Not today. Get up."
"Okay, mommy," she mumbled, dragging herself up like she just came off a 12-hour shift.
Kairi was good about her routine though—showers at night, and in the morning she'd brush her teeth, wash her face, and get dressed. She was five going on fifteen and had it down pat.
