Tia – POV
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Dave had my legs pushed up, his hands gripping my thighs like he owned every inch of me.
"Ain't no way your shit gets wetter every time," he grunted, hips meeting mine with force.
"Mmm... right there, baby," I moaned, my head falling back.
Then my iPhone lit up, vibrating against the sheets.
"Answer it," Dave said, still deep in me.
"David, no. Don't pull out."
He smacked my ass, smirking like the devil himself. "Answer your fuckin' phone. And don't moan either."
I reached for it, hand trembling. "H-hello?" I stammered, breathless.
"Yes," a woman's voice came through. "Are you the parent of Corey East?"
I gasped. "Dave, wait—it's about Corey!"
He pulled out instantly, and I put the call on speaker.
"Yes," I said quickly. "We're his aunt and uncle, but we've taken him in."
"This is Dr. Smith. Corey's been in an accident. Please come down to the hospital right away."
We didn't waste another second. Threw on clothes, woke the kids—Easton half-asleep in my arms—and headed to the hospital. I called Mama Grace while Dave got on the line with Bully.
When we got there, I rushed to the front desk. The receptionist was damn near drooling over Dave, who was still on the phone.
"Hey!" I slammed my hand on the desk. "I need to see my son. Corey East."
The woman blinked, snapping out of her daze. "I—I'm so sorry. He's in the B wing. Please wait in the family area. Dr. Smith will be out shortly."
I took off down the hall, pacing back and forth in the waiting area. God, please let my baby be okay. Please. Please. Please.
Mama Grace, Bully, and Brandy showed up a few minutes later. Brandy scooped up the kids with a tight hug and took them out of the room.
"Family of Corey East?" Dr. Smith called out.
We all stood at once.
"Your boy's strong. He pushed through. Now—his left wrist has severe nerve damage. I'll need to speak with you and Corey more about that, but for now, he's okay. Just some bruises that'll heal."
Dave stepped forward. "Can we see him?"
"Absolutely."
We filed into the room. Corey looked up and gave us a crooked smile.
"Ma, I'm good. Don't even trip."
"You scared me, boy," I said, holding back tears.
"You know they can't hold me down, Ma."
Mama Grace hugged him first, Kenzie and Kairi kissed his cheeks, and Easton was still knocked out in Dave's arms. Dave and Bully leaned in, each kissing Corey on the forehead.
"I'll take the kids to get a snack," Brandy whispered. Jordan was now one, so Easton was the baby of the bunch.
Just then, Mia ran into the room, crying.
"I shouldn't have asked you to come out so late," she sobbed, rushing to his side.
"Stop it," Corey said, voice firm but kind. "I always leave late. Shit happens."
