I stood there, heart pounding in my chest, staring at Izzy like I didn't even know who he was anymore.

"Are you cheating on me?" I asked, my voice low but sharp.

He looked at me like I lost my mind. "Bruh, what? No. Are you crazy?"

I didn't even flinch. "No, Izzy. You just most definitely got me fucked up."

He threw his hands in the air. "You fuckin' trippin', Kim. How many times I gotta tell your crazy ass—I wasn't with no bitch. Stop listenin' to your dumb ass friends. None of them hoes got a nigga anyway."

"Ain't nobody listening to my friends, stupid," I snapped, eyes locked on his. "The bitch DM'd me on Instagram, you dumb fuck. So go ahead, lie your way outta this one. I'm tired of you playin' games with me. We got a whole child and you out here doing dumb shit like always. Since you wanna fuck on me, I'ma fuck on you."

He laughed—laughed—like this was all a joke.

"LMAO. I'll beat the fuck outta you. I'm not fuckin' on you, Kim. Damn. You accuse a nigga so much, I might as well go do something since you already think I'm out here wildin'. Pathetic."

"You pathetic, Izzy."

He took a breath, voice trying to calm down. "Straight up, let me come at you correctly. I'm not tryna have a screaming match with you. But whatever—or whoever—sent you something is lyin'. I have never, and I will never, cheat on you. That's my word."

"Who is Star?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest.

"I don't know any fuckin' Star," he shot back, eyes narrowing.

I took a step closer, pain rising to the surface. "Are you ever going to admit the truth? Like, seriously? You swear you such a real nigga but can't even be real with your woman. What type of shit is that?"

"I am being real!" he barked. "I don't know a Star. Never met a Star. So come again."

I didn't say anything. Just pulled out my phone, scrolled through my DMs, and held it up to his face.

"You telling me you don't know this hoe?" I asked, showing him the picture.

He glanced at it, shook his head without hesitation. "No. I don't know that hoe."

"You a sorry piece of shit," I whispered, voice cracking. "I swear, bruh. I thought after all these years, you'd be the one person I could count on. To never do me wrong. To always have my back. To love me unconditionally. But you cheat and lie to me over and over again. I'm done with this shit."

By now, the tears were pouring down my face, hot and heavy, no stopping them.

Izzy stepped toward me, reaching out. "Baby, you gotta take my word. I promise—I don't know that girl."
