(A/N- This my song and it fits perfectly for the title enjoy!)
New York minute (Ooh, ooh-oooh)
Everything can change
In a New York minute (Ooh, ooh-oooh)
Things can get pretty strange
In a New York minute (Ooh, ooh-oooh)
Everything can change
In a New York minute (Ooh, ooh-oooh)
New York-New York-New York-New York
Uh, king of New York
I never claimed the king of New York
Jacking Tekashi, nigga, that's like me eatin' pork
I could whip it with a spoon, imagine me with a fork
I'm seen on boats, seen with yacht masters, seen on resorts
I had the judge nervous, I look like a demon in court
I did the mansion, played the penthouse, I need me a loft
We from Harlem, we a little more conceded than y'all
Grant Theft Auto, If I needed a car, understand me?
Dave – POV
We were finally back from the trip, and now I was in New York for my show. I should've been excited—but honestly, I was sick as hell. Not physically, but the kind of sick that came from being away from your peace. Tia.
I wanted this to be a family trip so bad. Had it all planned out. But her doctor said no, and I wasn't about to argue. I just missed the hell out of my woman. Everything felt off without her here. Yeah, Corey and Kairi were with me, and I loved having my babies around, but it still didn't feel the same.
I booked us a suite, something real nice with a view of the city. I was supposed to be here all weekend—show tonight, then back-to-back meet and greets. It was a lot, and I wanted Tia by my side, but I understood.
Kairi was running around the room with that wild toddler energy, laughing and dragging her little suitcase like she had important business to handle.
"Come here, little lady," I called, scooping her up. "Let's call Mommy."
"Yayyyyy, Mommy!" she squealed, clapping her hands.
I hit the FaceTime button, and it connected.

"Oh my God, look at my babies!" she said, already wiping at her eyes. "I'm dead crying. I miss y'all."
"Baby, stop crying," I added, sitting down on the edge of the hotel bed with Kairi in my lap. Tia was really crying, and not just a tear or two—she was deep in her feelings. I knew she hated that. Pregnancy made her extra emotional and she couldn't stand it.
