The whole night Lexa hadn’t moved away of that bar. She didn’t feel like dancing although that wasn’t the whole truth. There was one person she would want to dance with but that person was currently too busy with dancing with Josephine Lightbourne. She could see how Josephine kept on offering Clarke more and more drinks and it surprised her that Clarke could still walk on her legs after she watched what all got shagged down her throat. Lexa was surprised when she saw Clarke walking to her with a big smile on her face. “Why are you sitting here? You should be dancing there with me.” Clarke said and Lexa didn’t say anything for a moment, she just watched Clarke’s slow movements. “Come on. Let’s go.” Clarke said and she took her hands while she slowly walked backwards, already moving her body on the rhythm of the music while she looked seductive at Lexa. She wasn’t paying attention to what was happening behind her so she would’ve walked straight into a guy who was going around with some drinks. But she didn’t because Lexa was able to pull her against her body before she would’ve made a big mess. Clarke was too drunk to even realise why Lexa had pulled her closer and started to slow dance instead. “Not the perfect song to slow dance but sure, Lexa.” Clarke said while she rested her head against the brunette’s shoulder. Lexa noticed how she was holding Clarke’s hand in between their bodies and how the spot where Clarke’s hand was laying on her lower back started to heat up. She didn’t say anything or stop it because she liked this too much. The feeling of arms around them made them stop. Lexa’s blood started to boil when she realised it was Josephine who had interrupted them. “What do you guys think of some shots? Everyone has set everything up already.” She said and Clarke eagerly agreed to it. “No thanks, I think she had enough.” Lexa said while she held Clarke. Clarke looked confused at Lexa but Lexa was too fixed on Josephine to even answer Clarke’s gaze. “Isn’t Clarke old enough to decide that on her own?” Josephine asked and it made Lexa’s blood even boil more. She turned more to Josephine now before talking, “If you wouldn’t have shoved all that alcohol down her throat then she was capable of making those decisions on her own yes.” “What’s your problem with me?” Josephine asked and Lexa just clenched her jaw while Josephine came closer. “Are you jealous of that deal I made out of your photoshoot?” She asked with a grin and Lexa had to control herself to not just smash that grin of her face. Before neither of them could say anything, Clarke was already walking to the rest. Lexa noticed the smug look on Josephine’s face but decided to ignore it and go to after Clarke instead. Once she reached the top of the stairs where everyone else was too, Clarke was already standing there with a shot in her hand. “Clarke, please don’t do this. You’ve already had enough. Let’s go back to the hotel.” Lexa begged and Clarke’s gazed switched from the shot to Lexa and Lexa noticed the hesitation. “Please.” She said again, hoping it would convince her not to. A grin formed on Clarke’s face and she gave the shot to Lexa. “Thank God.” Lexa said and she was about to put the shot glass on the table again but Clarke held her back. She didn’t say anything and just placed a lime wedge between her lips while her eyes didn’t leave Lexa’s. Lexa knew what Clarke was referring to but she couldn’t move for a second. For seconds she just stood there, staring at the lime wedge between Clarke’s lips and looking into Clarke’s eyes to know if she was sure about this. “If you’re going to wait any longer, I’ll just take it for you.” Josephine said but before Lexa could react on her, Luna had taken her hand and showed it in front of Lexa’s face. “Lick it.” Luna said and Lexa looked confused at her cousin, still dozed for what Clarke wanted her to do. “Lick your hand.” Luna said while she showed the salt in her hand and Lexa licked her hand so Luna could pour some salt on it and it would stick. “Remember that you have done this before in Santa Monica. You might not remember but I do. Those were even bodyshots so this is nothing compared to that.” Luna said and Lexa nodded shortly before she licked the salt of her hand, leaned her head back to drink the tequila shot and walked closer to Clarke. She looked into Clarke’s eyes before looking at the lime wedge between her lips and leaned forward then, taking the lime wedge between her teeth while her lips brushed over Clarke’s slightly. The touch wasn’t much but it send an electric wave through both their bodies and when Lexa pulled away again, they stared in each other’s eyes for some seconds. Everyone around them were watching them, curious why they were looking at each other like that but no one realised why besides them. “So she does drink.” Josephine said to break the silence and it made Lexa and Clarke break eye contact. Lexa could see Clarke wasn’t really mindful and she looked like she was lost in thoughts. “Are you okay?” Lexa asked and Clarke looked up to her again. “Uh yeah. I’m just tired and dizzy.” “You drank a lot this night. We should get back to the hotel.” Lexa suggested and Clarke nodded. They said bye and walked out of the club. The first few steps Clarke was able to walk normal but then she started to feel too dizzy and started to fall. Lexa had catched her and supported her while they walked back to the hotel. “Why did you drink that much?” Lexa asked while she was starting to get worried about Clarke because she could feel the blonde’s body getting heavier and heavier in her arms. “I was just drinking what they gave me.” Clarke said and Lexa sighed while she cursed Josephine in her head. “Josephine you mean. What Josephine gave you.” Lexa corrected her. “Why do you hate her that much?” “I don’t hate her.” Lexa said and Clarke scoffed. “I saw the way you two were looking at each other. What history do you have?” “I don’t think this is the right time to explain you this.” “You’re right. The chance I will remember this tomorrow is little.” Clarke said and Lexa held her breath in for a second if she thought that Clarke would forget about the shot, their lips brushing against each other and their gaze. The walk to the hotel wasn’t far and Lexa guided Clarke to her hotel room. She opened the door for the blonde and helped her get in the bed. The moment Clarke’s body touched the mattress, she closed her eyes and dozed off. Lexa looked at her for some seconds and covered her body with the blanket before filling a glass of water. She took some pills that laid them on Clarke’s nightstand because she knew the blond would need them after a night like that. After whispering good night she returned to her own room to sleep.
