Clarke helped Lexa get dressed before dressing herself. Clarke looked up at Lexa with curious eyes when she heard the doorbell ringing. “Is that the surprise?” She asked excited and she felt like a little kid on Christmas. “Go look.” Lexa said and Clarke walked out of the bedroom to open the door. She was confused when she saw her mother together with Kane in the doorway. “Mom? Kane? What are you guys doing here?” Clarke asked while pulling her mother in a hug. “Lexa asked us.” Abby said and Clarke looked behind her at Lexa with a questionable gaze. The brunette was currently leaning against the wall with a big grin. “Yes I did.” She said and Clarke moved aside to let them in. Abby and Kane carefully hugged Lexa to not hurt her and Clarke all watched it from the same position, still trying to understand what was going on. She didn’t get why this would be such a big surprise for her and secretly wished for more. Meanwhile the rest had come to say hi to the visitors. It wasn’t until Lexa called her girlfriend’s name that Clarke payed attention to what was happening in front of her. “What?” She asked because she hadn’t heard what Lexa said after calling her name. “I asked if you were ready.” Lexa said with the same grin and it made Clarke just more and more confused. “Ready for what?” Clarke asked and Lexa had to chuckle, noticing her girlfriend’s struggles with trying to understand what was going on. “Ready for your surprise.” Lexa said while she walked together with Kane to the door. “What about them?” Clarke asked confused while looking at her mom who was currently listening to Raven and Luna. Abby had heard her daughter’s question and turned around to her. “I’m going to stay here with Raven and Luna. I still need to hear where this started because I didn’t see this coming.” Abby said with a huge smile. It always warmed Clarke’s heart when her mom treated Raven as her daughter too. “You can go with Lexa and Kane.” She said with a mischievous smile and Clarke turned to Lexa again. “Do you trust me?” Lexa asked while holding a blindfold. “With everything in me.” Clarke said truly, both of them looking into each other’s eyes for some seconds. Lexa slowly brought the blindfold to Clarke’s eyes and she quickly pecked her girlfriend’s lips when it was done. Kane and her guided her into the car. Kane drove and Lexa and Clarke were sitting on the back couch, Lexa never letting go of Clarke’s hand until they arrived at their destination. “Are you ready?” Lexa said softly to Clarke and Clarke nodded. Kane helped her get out of the car and position her right. Lexa counted down before taking the blindfold off of Clarke’s eyes. Clarke had to blink a few times, the bright light blinding her at first. Once her eyes adapted at the brightness, she could see where she was. “What are we doing here?” Clarke asked while standing in front of the prison gate. No one had to answer the question because it got answered by the gate slowly opening. Anya slowly came into view and Clarke froze. It wasn’t until she walked closer to her and dropped her bags on the ground in front of Clarke that Clarke could move. She ran to hug her. At first Anya froze because this was new for them and she didn’t know Clarke that long but it did feel right so she answered the hug pretty fast. Behind them, Lexa was looking at them with a smile and that smile became wider when Clarke looked at her with a big smile too. “How did this happen?” Clarke asked and Lexa pointed at Kane. “I withdrew my accusation and Anya took Kane as lawyer to prove her innocence using Costia as motive.” Lexa explained and Clarke hugged Anya again. “I’m so happy for you.” Clarke said and Anya pushed Clarke politely away now, getting too clingy for her. “I’m sorry. I’m just so happy.” Clarke said and Anya chuckled. “It’s okay, Clarke.” She said and they walked both closer to Lexa and Kane now. Clarke walked over to Kane to hug him, leaving Lexa and Anya alone for a moment. Lexa’s smile faded away when Anya stood in front of her. Neither of them said something for a while. They just couldn’t even if there was so much left to say. “I don’t know where to start.” Lexa began. “I guess I need to start with saying I’m really really sorry.”
“Don’t be.” Anya cut her off. “I didn’t see it about Costia either. And it all looked like it was me. I even started to doubt myself, crazy enough. You got me out, Lexa. And for me that’s all what matters now.” Anya said and Lexa got an envelope out of the car and handed it over. “What’s this?” Anya asked and she looked into the envelope, her eyes widening when she saw a lot of money. “Don’t worry. It’s not enough to sit down on your ass for the rest of your life. But it’s enough to start your life again and live a good one.”
“I can’t accept this.” Anya said and she tried to hand the envelope over again but Lexa didn’t accept it. “You need to. Ex prisoners don’t get employed that much. It might take awhile for you to find a job. This will help you on the way. Just accept it. It’s the least I can do.” Lexa said and after long hesitating, Anya finally accepted. “Was it true what you said? That you loved me?” Lexa asked and Anya looked at her for some seconds. “Yeah it was but don’t worry. I’m not a psycho who will attack you and shoot you. I can see that what you and Clarke have is real love. And I wish the best for you too.”
“Thanks. It means a lot to me. Now what do you want to do?”
“Honestly just get out of here.” Anya said with a smile. “Copy that. Let’s go eat something.” Lexa said and they all got in the car.
