The moment Raven talked some sense into her, Clarke kissed Raven’s forehead. “Go get her.” Raven said while she slapped Clarke’s butt on the way out. Clarke’s heart was pounding fast in her chest while she drove to Lexa’s house. She had to control herself to not drive faster than the speed limit. The moment she arrived at Lexa’s house, she jumped out of the car and ran to the door. She pounded her fists on the door while ringing the doorbell in between. Clarke didn’t stop even though she stood there for five minutes now. “Can you knock it off?” Someone shouted and Clarke looked at the direction the voice came from. She saw a man through the window, Lexa’s neighbour. Clarke looked at the man while she didn’t stop pounding on that door. She noticed that he was only wearing his boxer shorts and Clarke threw a quick glance at her watch and realised it was 1 am already. She didn’t care how embarrassing or annoying this was. She needed to see Lexa and she wasn’t leaving until someone would open this door. Just when Clarke thought she would die of embarrassment, she heard movement inside. She could see a light getting turned on and Clarke’s heart started to beat impossible faster but the moment the door opened and she saw the person in front of her wasn’t Lexa, it started to slow down again. “Clarke? What are you doing here this late of the night?” Lincoln asked while he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He stood in his underwear only too and Clarke noticed the tattoo’s she hadn’t seen before. “I need to see Lexa. Is she here?” Clarke asked when she realised she was staring but before she could get an answer she heard her name getting called by someone inside. She looked over Lincoln’s shoulder and saw Octavia with sleepy eyes and wearing an oversized shirt only. “What are you guys doing here?” Clarke asked confused while she looked around her to check if she was at the right address. “We were here to keep Lexa company. She’s having a hard time.” Octavia said while she scratched the back of her head. “Where is she?” Clarke asked and she started to get worried. She could see on Octavia’s body language something wasn’t right and she needed to know what it was. “Why do you want to know?” Lincoln and Clarke narrowed her eyes. “Why aren’t you answering me?”
“Because Lexa is having it hard enough already with this whole situation. It’s breaking her and finally after some days she ate again. I don’t know why you’re here but if you decided to let her go, let her actually go and don’t pull her closer again for some moments and then push her away again. She can’t handle that. You need to give her a moment so she can get over this.” Lincoln said and Clarke didn’t understand where this was all coming from. “Don’t you think it’s been hard on me too?”
“Not as much as Lexa.” Lincoln said and Clarke didn’t understand him. “What makes you think that?” Clarke asked and Lincoln sighed. “Have you thought the world was better off without you because of this whole situation?” Lincoln asked and Clarke was taken back by his words. Does that mean Lexa thought that? “She didn’t sleep ever since.” Lincoln said and Clarke still had to progress it all. “That’s why she is going for a run now and she’s not here to sleep. I think she mentioned something about a great view from the Hollywood sign.” Octavia said. “Seriously?” Lincoln said to Octavia and the girl walked towards him. “Why do you think Clarke is here? She’s here to go back to Lexa. Lexa’s cure.” Octavia said while she laid her hand on his chest and kissed his cheek. “Thanks O.” Clarke said and she ran to her car and started to drive. A long while she could do with the car but at a certain point the road ended and she hadn’t seen Lexa yet. Clarke got out of the car and looked around. She had to look good in the dark but suddenly she could see a walking path. “The things I do for love.” Clarke said under her breathe before she started to run down the path. It looked like it never ended and it was complete torture for someone who never runs in her life. Her muscles started to clabber and it was like they were screaming at Clarke to stop running but Clarke pushed herself not to and it was earned when she saw a figure on the top of the mountain, sitting on a bench. Clarke stopped running and walked closer to the bench, trying to be as quiet as possible. There still was a chance this wasn’t Lexa and Clarke didn’t know if she had the strength left to run for her life. But she didn’t had to worry too much because soon she recognized Lexa. Clarke didn’t feel the pain in her legs anymore when she finally found Lexa, watching the citylights from the bench. It had been 3 days since she heard from her and it was then that Clarke remembered something. Lexa never replied to any of her texts. Without thinking too much, Clarke took out her phone and started to text.
