Model Lexa Woods doesn't want to do anything anymore after her 4 years long relationship with model Costia Winters ended. Her friend Octavia forces her to go to her party where she meets singer Clarke Griffin. Both are in difficult situations and do...
Clarke was waiting for Lexa to start talking while they were staring at the stars from the balcony. Lexa swallowed before she started to talk while starring in front of her because she couldn’t face Clarke while doing this. “My relationship recently ended. We were together for 4 years.” Lexa said and she already stopped because a lump had formed in her throat. This was the first time she was telling the full story to someone. Tears were forming in her eyes again and she shut them tightly to hold them back of rolling down her face. Clarke was looking at Lexa now and saw it was difficult for her to talk about it. Lexa let out a shaky breath and slowly opened her eyes again. “He’s a total ass if he hurted you like this.” Clarke said while she laid her hand on Lexa’s shoulder. “It’s not a he actually. I’m gay.” Lexa said and she looked at Clarke to see her reaction. Clarke’s eyebrows shot up and her mouth fell open. “Oh uh wow I didn’t know that. I’m sorry.” “It’s okay. Her name was Costia.” Lexa said and Clarke eyes widened. “Did she- Did she die?” “Oh god! No! No! She didn’t. Dammit, I’m bad at this. Her name obviously still is Costia. We met on a photoshoot because she’s a model too and I fell in love with her at first sight.” Lexa said and thinking back of that moment brought a smile on her face. But it didn’t take long to fade away again when she remember it was over now. “A few days ago she told me she doesn’t love me anymore. Or not the way she did at least. She needed a break from this, from me. And it sucks.” Lexa said and she had to take a moment to take a deep breath again. “It sucks because I’m still in love with her. For me it never changed. I never stopped loving her or never loved her less than I did from the beginning. I guess that’s what makes it so hard for me to let go.” Lexa explained while she played with her fingernails. “I’m sorry this happened to you. Costia must be blind to not see you are someone she shouldn’t let go.” Clarke said and Lexa scoffed. “You don’t even know me.” “You’re right. I don’t. But that girl broke your heart and still you are talking about her with love. I know for a fact there would be people that would be talking about their exes in disgust or hate for not loving them anymore but you don’t.” “I mean I can’t force her to love me.” Lexa said and Clarke nodded. “So what is your story?” Lexa asked and Clarke was surprised by the question. “My story?” “Yeah your story. You must have some love history. You don’t look to me like a virgin.” Lexa said and Clarke raised her eyebrows. “Are you telling me I look like a slut or something? Or what are you trying to tell me?” “No of course not but you’re definitely not a virgin.” “And why not?” “You don’t look like one.” “And how do virgin girls look like then according to you?” “Definitely not like you.” Lexa said with a grin and Clarke scoffed. “No sex before marriage is a must for me.” Clarke said and Lexa frowned. “So you are religious?” Lexa asked and Clarke scoffed. “I’m not. I was when I was younger but I kinda lost it when my dad passed away.” Clarke said and she didn’t know why she mentioned her dad even because that rarely happened. “I’m sorry about your dad.” Lexa said genuinely and Clarke gave her a reassuring smile. “But yeah you were right about me not being a virgin. I’ve had a few relationships. The most recent one was with Finn. We broke after 2 years of dating because I didn’t make enough time for him. I blame myself for it because it really is my fault but music is my passion and I can’t do anything about it.” “Are you still friends?” “Yeah we’re on good terms. He’s a good guy.” “That’s good. So after him there hasn’t been anyone else?” “I’ve had some flings, if you know what I mean. But other from that not really no.” “I’m sorry I ran away from your performance earlier. It just reminded me too much of Costia. It was beautiful though. You’re a really good singer.” Lexa said and Clarke smiled at her. “Thanks. I love singing and making music. My dad taught me how to play guitar and everytime I play it, it feels like he’s living on. God, this sounds crazy.” Clarke said with rosy cheeks, embarrassed of what she had said. “No I think it’s beautiful.” Lexa said while she laid her hand over Clarke’s. Their eyes locked and they looked at each other for some time.

Clarke and Lexa had been talking for hours now on the balcony. “What time it?” Lexa asked when she noticed that it was less crowded in the garden. Clarke looked at her phone. “It’s 3 am.” She said and Lexa’s eyes widened. “What?! Omg we have been here for hours now. I bet Lincoln is worried sick about me. He was going to bring me home.” Clarke noticed Lexa was panicking and helped her get her stuff to get as fast as possible downstairs. Lexa searched for Lincoln in the crowd but couldn’t see him. “What does he look like?” Clarke asked so they would find him faster. “Bald, tattoos on his arms.” Lexa said while she kept on looking for him in the crowd. Clarke suddenly stopped when she realised those descriptions fitted perfectly with the guy she had seen with Octavia. Lexa noticed Clarke had stopped and turned around to the blonde. “What’s wrong?” Lexa asked. “I think I might know where he is.” Clarke said and she started to get back in the house. Lexa followed her and got confused when she saw Clarke going upstairs again. They stopped at a door and Lexa got confused by the sounds she heard coming out of that room. They could moans coming out of the room and Clarke tried to remain serious but she couldn’t help herself of finding this funny. “Is that?” Lexa asked while she pointed at the door and she didn’t need to finish her question because Clarke was already nodding her head. “When I was searching for you I had walked in on them making out. But that escalated fast.” Clarke said with a grin and Lexa groaned in disgust. “I think I’m going to be sick.” She said while she walked away from the door because she couldn’t listen to it anymore. “I went from thinking that he had no love life at all to this. How am I going to get home now.” “If you want to you can stay over. I bet Octavia wouldn’t mind.” Clarke offered. “You think so?” “I’m sure she wouldn’t mind. She’s even the reason you can’t get home. I would drive you home myself but I had some alcohol before and I don’t drink and drive.” Clarke said. “Yeah I wouldn’t step in the car with someone who had drank either.” “Okay then the decision has been made. You’re staying over. There is only one room left though so I hope you don’t mind sleeping in the same bed?” Clarke said and Lexa shook her head. Lexa followed Clarke to the room. “Here it is.” Clarke said and Lexa entered the room. “I don’t have any sleeping clothes with me though.” Lexa said while she scratched her head. “Me neither. I normally sleep in my underwear, if that’s okay with you?” Clarke asked and Lexa’s heart skipped a beat. She was gay after all and thinking of a girl in her underwear sleeping next to her did something to her. She gulped but shook her head. “Great. I’ll go change myself in the bathroom. Be right back.” Clarke said and Lexa took that as opportunity to undress herself and get under the blankets. Not much later Clarke came back from the bathroom in her underwear and Lexa blushed when she caught herself looking. Clarke got under the blankets and turned the lights off. “Good night, Lexa.” Clarke said and Lexa said it back, hoping she wouldn’t hear her fast heartbeat in her chest.
