Lexa’s and Luna’s eyes crossed when they both watched Clarke walk away. Lexa didn’t know what it was in the eyes of her cousin but it felt bad to see her cousin looking like that at her. She saw how Luna shook her head in the distance and walked away then. Lexa looked around her and saw all the eyes of the people they know look at both Lexa and Costia. She swore she could even see someone ask ‘Are they back together?’ and it was hard for Lexa to contain herself not just walk to the person and answer the question for her instead of hearing her talking behind her back. But she didn’t have to because Costia squeezed her hand shortly to make her turn to her and then kiss her in front of the people. All that Lexa could think of was Clarke. Was she watching this? What was she thinking? Why did she run of when she came inside? Costia could feel Lexa froze under their kiss but ignored it and smiled in front of the people. Lexa looked at the crowd and her eyes met Octavia’s. She could see the disappointment on her friend’s face and Lexa looked with a questionable gaze at her from distance to understand why but all she got was the head shaking again. “Are you alright, babe?” Costia asked beside her and Lexa quickly nodded yes and placed a kiss on her cheek. “I’m going to get some drinks. Do you want anything?” Lexa asked. “Some wine would be nice. Thank you.” Costia said with a smile and Lexa went to the bar to order the drinks. “You need to go talk to her, Lexa.” She heard someone say beside her and she recognized the voice of her cousin immediately. “Good evening to you Luna. How was Sydney? How was Asia? How are you in general?” Lexa asked on ironic tone before facing her cousin who was glaring at her. “Cut the crap and listen to me.”
“Why would I?” Lexa asked annoyed by Luna’s intrudance. “Because Clarke is your friend. Or don’t you care about your friends anymore since you’re back with Costia again? It were your friends who helped out of the hole she put you in.”
“Don’t you think I realise that?!” Lexa cut her off and Luna raised her hands in the air to show her she meant no harm. “Jesus why are you so tensed?” Luna asked and Lexa take a deep breath before taking the drink and drank it all at once until there was nothing left. Luna looked at her with widened eyes. “Because I didn’t want to come here in the first place.” Lexa admitted and she ordered a new drink but before she could drink it, Luna took it away from her. “Then why did you come?”
“Because Josephine basically threatened me on my own property that if I wouldn’t show up here, she would accidently let it slip to Clarke about me and Costia.” Lexa said and she watched Luna’s reaction. She saw how her cousin was surprised and she had to laugh. “I surprisingly do care about Clarke, you know? Letting her find out through someone else is just cruel. You don’t do that shit right? She did though.” Lexa said while she tried to get her drink back. “What do you mean ‘She did though’?” Luna asked confused while she kept the drinks away from Lexa. “The picture of her and Bellamy. It’s not a fun way to find out she’s in a relationship through a gossip account.” Lexa said and Luna froze at Lexa’s words so Lexa was able to get her drinks back. “Lexa… Bellamy and Clarke aren’t together.” Luna said softly and Lexa stopped drinking of her drink. She looked at her cousin for a few seconds and set her drink down then. “What did you say?” Lexa asked and Luna repeated her words. Lexa felt her heart sink in her chest at the realisation it was all a misunderstanding. “After the concert in Asia, there was a fight between Bellamy and Clarke. Clarke was mad because he pretended to be together with Clarke in front of their fans while apparently they weren’t. ‘We are not together and we will never be’ she said. I don’t know the details of how that picture happened. Octavia wouldn’t let us ask anything of it so we didn’t.” Luna said when Lexa still hadn’t said anything for some seconds. And she was still all processing it. “That’s why you should go talk to her. Please.” Luna said and Lexa nodded. “Do you know where I can find her?” Lexa asked and she grabbed the drinks. “Try the roof.” Luna said and Lexa did. She found Clarke leaning against the edge of the roof while smoking. The blonde had her back turned to her so she hadn’t noticed her presence yet. “You’re smoking again.” Lexa said and she could see she had scared Clarke because the blonde shot up. She turned around and took Lexa in front of her in. Lexa could see Clarke’s eyes roaming over her body and stopped at the area of her chest. For a moment she thought Clarke was staring at her breasts shamelessly and she could feel the blush on her cheeks. “And you’re back together with Costia.” Clarke said and it was then Lexa realised Clarke was staring at the necklace. “Nice necklace. You must feel special. You don’t see the necklace often right? Although I’m pretty sure I’ve seen one like that before. One exactly the same. I let my friend throw it in the ocean to let go of a person who didn’t want her.” Clarke said and Lexa looked down at the ground. “What changed?” Clarke asked again and Lexa looked up again at her, into the blue eyes she could get lost in. “I guess Costia.” Lexa said softly and Clarke had to laugh. “Her opinion maybe. But I don’t believe she’s changed. I don’t get it Lexa. I really don’t. I thought you were over her. Why are you back together?”
“I never stopped loving her. I just accepted that she didn’t love me anymore and it seems she did so why wouldn’t I be then?” Lexa asked and Clarke looked down at the ground now. “Does she make you happy?” Clarke asked softly and Lexa didn’t know what to say. “I think so.” She said and Clarke nodded. “Okay.” The blonde said. “Do you want a drink? I got some wine for you if you want.” Lexa asked and Clarke nodded again and she took the glass Lexa offered her. “And here we are again on a roof. You smoking again.” Lexa said with a smile while she thought how coincidental it was. “First you were crying over Costia on the fist roof and now you’re back together with her.” Clarke said and Lexa nodded. “Is this going to change? Are we going to change?” Clarke suddenly asked and Lexa could see the worry and pain in the blonde’s eyes. “Of course not. I don’t want to lose you, Clarke.” Lexa said and Lexa saw how tears started to fill Clarke’s eyes until one eventually rolled over her cheek. Clarke didn’t say anything and just hugged the brunette tight. She didn’t want to let go and Lexa held her tight too. “What’s wrong?” Lexa asked softly. “I don’t know. It’s all a bit too much lately I guess.” Clarke admitted and Lexa didn’t let go of her until she felt Clarke losen her grip around her. She touched Clarke’s cheek shortly, brushing the soft skin with her fingertips and looking into the eyes again. “I’ll always be with you.” Lexa said and Clarke noticed how she lost control of herself while looking into those green eyes. Before she realised it she was looking at the plump lips instead of the green eyes.
