Agad akong bumaba sa kotse, hindi ininda ang ulan.

"Beau." I called and when our eyes met, I lost it.

I run towards him and hugged him. I cried. I never cried this hard in front of him.

"I-I'm happy you're safe." Beau whispered to my ears.

Hinarap ko siya at kahit na malakas ang buhos ng ulan ay kitang-kita ko ang mga mata niya.

I saw pain. I sas anger.

"They're... gone." I said in between sobs.

Napayuko si Beau. "Xyla's parents confirmed her death, too. She was found dead at a small province... Gun shot."

Ang boses ni Beau ay pahina ng pahina. Tila kandilang nauupos.

Napapikit ako sa narinig.

"She's brave you know... But I just can't imagine how scared she were when that happened." Beau said.

My tears did not stop falling like the rain.

Beau may not love her romantically, but I know that he cares for her as a friend. I know he's hurt.

Pinapasok ko si Beau sa bahay dahil pareho na kaming basang-basa sa ulan. My parents are confused, but they invited him to dinner anyway.

"Meet the parents agad?" Beau said, trying to lighten up the mood.

Parehong maga ang mga mata namin.

Nasa guest room siya ngayon para makapagpalit ng damit.

I smiled a little. "Are you nervous, Patpat?"

I tried to make him feel relaxed. He hate when someone calls him Patrick.

Kinunotan niya ako ng noo pero ngumiti rin siya.

"Very." he said. "I'm not ready. Wala manlang akong dalang kahit na ano."

"It's okay." sabi ko. "Wait, hihiraman kita ng damit sa kapatid ko."

I immediately went to Theo's room to borrow some clothes. Mukha namang kakasya dahil matangkad din naman si Theo.

Pagkabihis ay bumaba na kami para sa dinner.

"Dad, Mom, Theo... Meet Beau Santiago." sabi ko sa kanila.

"Santiago?" si Mommy na tila nagulat.

"Opo." sagot naman ni Beau.

Kumunot ang noo ni Dad. "Santiago Holdings Corporation?"

"Yes, Sir." si Beau.

Natahimik ang Daddy.

It's really a small world when it comes to business.

"What is your relationship with my daughter?" sunod pang tanong ni Dad.

Kitang-kita ko ang kaba sa mukha ni Beau.

"W-we're dating, Dad." sagot ko.

Naging tahimik ang lahat hanggang sa makaalis na si Beau. I know my parents were shocked about me dating again. Dad wants me to distance myself to Ethan and here I am... dating another heir.

Bago pa ako makaakyat sa hagdan ay napigilan na ako ng Daddy.

"Santiago Holdings Inc. Big company... Have high percentage in the global market. Do you know what that means, Theandra?" Dad asked.

Kumunot ang aking noo.

"It means more trouble for you." Daddy said.

I shook my head and started walking upstairs. "This is not the right time to talk about this Dad."
