Ms. Sunshine

Ethan and I broke up.

It's a mutual decision. We've figured that it will be hard for the both of us to stay in the relationship. And we both need time.

I love him... But things are just complicated right now. After the news of the missing heirs  came out, my life, our lives has been totally different.

Sunod-sunod ang mga naging balita tungkol sa mga nawawalang anak na siyang mga tigapagmana ng mga naglalakihang kumpanya sa bansa. The motive is still unclear. Some said it's kidnap for ransom, while some said it's a hierarchy war...

Masyadong naging mahigpit sina Mommy at Daddy sa akin. Hindi na ako nakakaalis ng bahay mag-isa. If I'll go to school, I have bodyguards with me. They even want me to distant myself with my friends and even Ethan!

"You will transfer to another school and that's final, Theandra!" my Dad shouted.

Ayaw kong lumipat. Magsesecond year na ako! It will be hard for me to adjust! At paano si Ethan?!

Ipinadyak ko ang paa ko. "Dad, please! Ayaw kong lumipat sa ibang school! I'll be fine-"

"Not a word, Theandra Sorrel." ani Dad at napahinto na lamang ako. "You will transfer to Garnet Academy. It's for your safety! At layuan mo na rin 'yang Ethan Andrade na 'yan!"

Ibinaon ko ang mukha ko sa aking unan. I am so mad and frustrated! I'm not mad at my Dad. I am mad about everything that's happening!

Kunot ang aking noo habang naglalakad sa school. Ito ang huling araw ng aming klase, at ito na rin ang huling araw ko sa eskwelahang ito.

I've been avoiding Ethan as well. It's not that I don't want to talk to him, it's just that I don't know how to tell him that I am transferring and my parents, I mean my Dad, wants me to stop seeing him.

"You know you can't avoid me." I heard his calm voice at the back.

Dahan-dahan akong humarap sa kanya. "I'm sorry, Ethan." agad kong sabi.

His eyes are so expressive that it seems like it's talking to you. He has a sharp cute nose and a subtle pink lips. And I really like his nice clean cut. Ang linis niya tignan dahil sa buhok niya.

If this is a normal day, I will jump to him and hug him like there's no tomorrow. But this day isn't...

Tumango-tango siya. Tila alam na kung saan ito pupunta.

"It's okay." aniya. "Dutch mill?"

Natawa ako at sinalo iyong strawberry dutch mill galing kay Ethan. Naglakad kami papunta sa open field dahil may mga bleachers doon. Iyon ang tambayan naming dalawa.

We both sat on the usuall. Malilim at tahimik ngayon dito.

It's really hard for me to tell Ethan about it. He's a good man and I know that he will understand. But I want to pick up the right words because I don't want to hurt him. Never.

"I am transferring to Garnet Academy... That's what my parents want. Even if I don't want to, I really don't have a choice." sabi ko habang nakayuko at pinaglalarun ang straw no'ng dutch mill.

"That's the reason you're avoiding me? You're afraid to tell me?" he asked on a soft tone and I nodded slowly.

Malalim akong huminga. "They want me to stay away with everyone. Also with... you." I'm trying so hard to stop my tears from falling. "I'm really sorry, E."

"My parents want me to go with them at the States. I am about to say no for you, actually..." he stopped and look at the sky above. It's never been so blue. "But now I realize that I should say yes for the both of us... Maybe this isn't our time yet. If we were meant to be together, we will be together. Maybe not now. Not yet."
