I had just found out that my boyfriend of two years is a werewolf. How did I find out only now you ask? He was pretty good at hiding it, and he consumed chocolate and dittany by the gallon, so he didn't even show scars, anywhere. And I'm asleep by the time that he apparently "transforms", so I wouldn't know jack shit.
How did I find out you may ask? I was told by Molly, who was told by Arthur, who was told by Amos, who was told by Reglus, who was told by Severus, who was told by Lily, who was told by Peter, who normally spends the transformation and the evening with Remus. Now I am on my way to the Gryffindor common room to give that boy a piece of my mind.

As I enter through the portrait hole, I notice the Marauders lounging on the couches and laughing. They look up as I approach.

"Hey Y/n," they all greet with a wave, which was more just lifting a hand.

"I need to talk to Remus. Scat. All of you," I say, far too calm for how I'm feeling. James and Peter scramble to get away. Sirius hesitates, but slowly moves away.

Remus is sitting on the floor, his books spread out around him. "Are you alright love?" He asked, sounding timid, but trying to cover it up with love and concern.

"Remus John Lupin! How do you think it feels to find out that your boyfriend has been lying to you for the two years that you have been together? Hmm?" I scold, my hands on my hips. Remus looked confused.

"I beg your pardon, I've been completely honest with you!" He says, his eyebrows raising, in a way that they normally don't. This is one of his tell tales that he's lying.

"I know when you're lying Remus. Guess how it felt to have to find out that your boyfriend has been sneaking out at night? And to hear this information from your best friend's roommate?" I ask, and Remus looks confused.

"What do you-" he began, but I cut him off.

"You know Lily knows about your little secret, because Potter can't keep his mouth shut around her, and when she asked Peter, naturally he ratted you out! And Lily told Severus, because she was worried. Turns out he has been supplying you with a potion for it! Oh, and by Godric, Reglus, Sirius' little baby brother dearest, has been collecting the ingredients for these little potions, so he knew too. And since he was oh so worried that his dear big brother would get hurt, he confided in a friendly, all-caring and secret Huffelpuff, Amos Diggory. Everybody who has half a brain knows that if Amos knows, Arthur knows, because they share a brain! But wait, it gets better! Arthur naturally tells his girlfriend, Molly, who then decides to ask me about it, only to find out I'm the only one at, maybe even the whole of Hogwarts who doesn't know!" I rant. I'm fuming.

"So I'm guessing you know I'm-" he begins, only to be cut off by me again.

"A Lycanthrope? Yes! As a matter of fact I do," I huff, crossing my arms. Lycanthrope is the Greek word for werewolf. Remus is smart enough to know that. But if he isn't, I wouldn't be surprised, because he's an idiot.

"So...what's the problem then?" He asks, sounding unsure, as if testing the waters.

"What's the problem? What's the problem?" I echo, my voice raising in pitch each time I repeat the words. "The problem is that half of this fucking school knows! And I, your girlfriend, need I remind you, didn't know a thing! Why didn't you tell me?" I ask, my voice breaking at the last question.

Remus gets to his feet stiffly, like he's in pain.

"I didn't think it was important," he says with a shrug.

"You...what?!" I roar, enraged at how much of a turdpole this boy is.

"I didn't think it was Important to mention it. Plus, you never asked," he said, looking anywhere but me.

"Remus, that is the dumbest excuse I've ever heard you come up with. Your excuse you came up with in fourth year for not turning in your Transfiguration homework was better cooked up than this lame excuse, and you told Minnie that James ate your homework!" I scoff, livid at this boy. Does he think I'm a bloody moron?

"You want the real reason? Fine! I didn't think you could handle it!" Remus exclaimed, also just as angry as I was.

"You didn't think I could handle it? I'm sorry? Did I hear you right? My father, and all three of my brothers go through the transformation! I make them their potion, keep them out of trouble and bandage them up afterwards! And I've been doing so since I was four! So don't you DARE ever assume what I can or cannot handle!" I scream at Remus. He grits his teeth.

"Well this is different Y/n. I'm dangerous," Remus says, folding his arms, looking down at the floor.

"So? I'm used to it! You're anyway a bloody pain, so what difference does the transformation make?" I sneer. I see Remus flinch. As I'm about to open my mouth to apologize, he opens his mouth.

"Have you met yourself recently? You're more annoying than a crying baby at two a.m!" He says, looking me dead in the eye. That comment hurt a little.

"Bite me," I seethe, hissing through my teeth.

"With pleasure. Where would you like?" Remus replies with a smirk.

I gasp. That comment was crude.

"Look Y/n. I'm sorry for not telling you. I should have. I just couldn't bare the thought of me losing control one night, and hurting you. That would destroy me," Remus said, dropping his arms. My eyes soften. How on earth does he do that? Even when we're fighting, and I'm wrong, he still apologizes. Not that I'm wrong in this instance.

"Thank you Remus. I'm sorry for yelling. And for starting the fight," I say, feeling like an idiot. I went from 10 to 0 in about three seconds. That boy has a way of melting my heart.

"No no, Y/n. It's my fault I didn't tell you. And I'm sorry you had to find out that way. Next time, I'll be more up front about it," Remus says, hanging his head.

"And I'll do the same," I say, pulling Remus in for a hug. He rests his forehead on mine.

"One question though, how do you hide your injuries?" I ask, my curiosity getting the best of me.

"Well, you know. Magic. They're still there, I just conceal them with a simple spell that Dumbledore taught me," he says with a grin.

"Well, you don't have to hide your scars from me. I find scars rather...attractive," I say with a smile.

Remus smiles back at me. "I'll bear that in mind."
