I'm supposed to be doing school, but like...eish. It's hard. My bed is calling me, and my maths work is being mean to me.

Newt P.O.V.

I walk into the library and take my usual book to my usual seat. The book I'm reading is a large volume with documents, information and drawings on all of the known magical creatures. This book has other reasons that interest me now, other than it's contents.

I have found little notes scrawled in the margarines of the books, extra little bits of information. A neat, soft penmanship. At first I thought it was notes from an old student, but as I re-read the chapters, I notice more little notes added to the book.

So, I decided to write little notes of my own. Mostly about my experience with certain creatures, mostly of the variety of ones my mother breeds. And before I knew it, the mysterious note leaver and I became pen pals. No one ever seemed to read the book but us. Magical creature notes were left in the margarines of the book, personal information was scrawled in paper and left in the book.

It had become a habit by now. Shaking the book for notes, and then re-reading the margarines to see if there are any new notes added. Another habit I had formed was asking the teachers if I may help hand out papers, so I could look at the handwriting. My search has been narrowed down to ten people with similar handwriting. But I decided to look into who has Care for Magical creatures, which is only seven of the ten. I then revisited the letters, and try pen-pal said they are from a pure blood family, and that left only three of the seven. William Scott a seventh year Ravenclaw, Garmilla Star a fourth year Slytherin, and Y/n L/n a fifth year Gryffindor. I hope it's Y/n, it would just be so perfect.

I doubt it is William Scott, as the writing language is more female. And I've heard William speak. He's to narsasistic to actually want to learn anything about anyone else unless it would benefit him. So that only left Garmilla and Y/n.

I had asked the librarian to keep tabs on my book, and tell me who else she saw reading the book. She had told me she had seen a h/c-haired girl read the book. Garmilla doesn't have h/c hair, so I deduced it must be Y/n.

So I left a note in the book, asking to meet in the library during break, at the very table I was sitting at now. So I waited, reading the book.

The library door opened, and then I saw Y/n, counting the tables, three from the right. I looked down at the book, pretending not to notice her. It's hard not to notice someone as stunning as her though.

I glanced up at the sound of a chair scraping on the floor. Oh my Merlin, it's her.

"So you want to be an author one day?" She asked me, and I could feel my ears heating up. "Y-Yes. I want to write my own book on magical creatures," I answered. She smiled. "I want to travel the world," she said, pink dusting her cheeks. She looked so cute when she blushed.

"So um, since we basically know each other, even though it's through writing, would you like to go to Hogsmead with me?" I ask, plucking up all my courage.

She blushed a darker shade of red. "I-I'd love to," she replied, a small smile on her face. A strand of h/c hair fell in her face. I smiled slightly.

"So how did you come across a hippocampi?"
