Sorry if it's not exactly like your request, I tried

Severus,

I know it's rather informal to call you by your first name, but I can't help myself. I love the way it rolls off of my tongue.
The purpose of my letter, as you may be wondering, is to tell you, that I've been in love with you for years. Well, since my fifth year to be exact.
I don't know why, but I've just always loved you. Please don't be mad.

At least I had enough sense not to sign my name on the letter that I left on Professor Snape's desk. But I was dumb enough to not change my handwriting, and I forgot that he marked my final potions paper. I swear I'm normally smarter than this, it's just that I was in a rush to pack and deliver the letter and everything in between.

Today is graduation day. I sigh. Now I won't be seeing Professor Snape every day anymore. Well, I was a good student, not the best, but I was good. I still doubt he'll be missing me though. He always picked on me in his class. I didn't mind, I got his attention.

As I walk to the boats, I feel a hand on my shoulder. "Miss L/n," I hear Professor Snape drawl. I turn to him. My heart flutters, and I try to suppress a smile.

"Yes Professor?" I ask. His face curls into a sneer. Uh oh, this can't be good.

"I found your letter," he said, handing me a crumpled piece of paper, and walking away. I can't help the disappointment flooding through me. I try not to cry. I know I'm just a teenage girl and I'm dramatic and everything, but may I not be sad about the lack of required affection?

I take my seat in the boat, and I want to drop the paper in the water, but something stops me. I unravel the paper. I hold my breath. It's probably him firmly rejecting me, but I force my eyes to read.

Y/n,
Well, you were still my student at the time you wrote the letter I assume? So yes, addressing me by my first name was rather improper. However, now that you've graduated, you no longer need to call me Professor.
And since you are no longer my student, I can confess. I have had my eye on you since your fifth year. And I apologize for my harsh treatment towards you. I didn't want the other students to think that I fancied you. I would have lost my job.
I hope you can forgive me, and I would like to see you, now as an adult, if you'll have me.

Severus

My blush is so deep that I must resemble a plum. I get some odd looks from students around me. I push the paper into my pocket of my robe. I'll write back as soon as I get home. I'm grinning like an idiot as I'm getting into the train.

On the train, I sat by myself, thinking. Isn't it rather improper to have a relationship with someone who is twenty nine, and you're only seventeen? Well, my parents differ twenty years, so it's not that bad, right? But what would all of my peers say? Professor Snape with his least favorite student, now an item! Bollocks!

In all fairness, I didn't like most of my peers, and they didn't like me. I only have three friends. A depressing life, I know.

I take a seat by my desk that evening, and decide to write back to Profes-Severus. I need to get used to calling him that. I have no idea where to begin my letter. I read over his words again, and smile to myself.

Severus,

Your previous letter greatly relieved me. When I saw you at the graduation ceremony, I thought you would push me into the Black Lake for my inaptness. I don't feel the need to forgive you for your harsh treatment of me, as I never found it offensive, in fact, I wanted it. I wanted your attention, so I admit, I did try to get detention on purpose and it's completely understandable if you were to lose your temper with me. I'd relish to see you again, now outside of the classroom as an adult, if you'd let me.

Y/n

I folded and sealed the letter, and sent it back to Hogwarts. Two days later, Severus and I agreed to meet up by the Leaky Cauldron for a drink.

We spoke of all sorts of things, everything from ours families and childhoods to hopes and dreams for our futures. We had a lot in common.

One date lead to another, and soon we began formally seeing each other. Our relationship was slowed slightly by the starting of the school year, as Severus was still the Potions master. He did have his hands full of detentions, given to the Weasley twins. My friends turned their noses up at me for being in a relationship with Severus, and I found that rather offensive, and I tried to smooth things over. I got a job at the Ministry as the head of unlisted magical artifacts.

By the end of that year, Severus had asked for my hand in marriage. My parents, naturally, said yes. They were thrilled that he was a professor. That's also how my parents met. My father was my mother's Herbology teacher. My aunt said that must have been a genetic defect passed down to me, as she still thinks my parents' relationship is unholy and that they're probably going straight to hell. She's the only one who opposed to the union between Severus and I. I secretly wonder if my aunt was in love with my father sometimes. She's my mother's sister, and has always been horrid to her since my parents got married.

Severus and I got married in the summer, the summer before Harry Potter was said to start attending Hogwarts. The summer of 1991.

The wedding wasn't anything grand, just a few people that Severus worked with (who were ironically all my old teachers, and that was a it awkward) and some of my school friends and work friends. Dumbledore even shed a tear at the ceremony.

I moved into the teachers quarters with Severus. We were happy. Yes, I did know he was a death eater, and a double agent, for both sides in a way. It was confusing.

We had two beautiful children, Lily and Tobias. I would take Lily and Tobias to a school for magical children, which was like a muggle school, but with more mythology and magic and things. They weren't allowed to have wands off do magic yet.

After my day at work I'd fetch Lily and Tobias, and we'd go back home. They enjoyed watching the Quidditch games at Hogwarts, and Lily befriended this wonderful girl named Hermione. I'd have her over for tea sometimes, not that Severus knows. He'd throw a fit about having her in the house.

"Don't bring a student that I currently teach into the house!" He'd say. Note the word current, otherwise neither I nor our children would be allowed in our house, as I was a student a mere few years ago, and our children are to be students soon.

Our life was simple. But it was ours, and we loved it.
