I'm going home for the holidays with my twin brother Draco. Yes, I'm the good looking one in the family, before you ask. I have kind of been shunned by my whole family, because I got sorted into Gryffindor, and my best friend is a muggle born, but my family is full of bullshit so, I try to not be like them in subtle ways.

Reaching platform 9 and 3/4, my mother is the only one who looks pleased to see me. My father eyes me down his long nose. "Y/n," he greets coldly, extending his hand to shake. "Father," I reply back, even colder, and shake his hand firmly. I'm not one of those people who will let my father walk over them, like my brother.

I am greeted with a warm hug by my mother. "Hi," whisper to her. "Hi," she whispers back and smiles at me when we pull apart. I spot Draco swaggering over and roll my eyes at him trying to look cool for a girl that I haven't been allowed to know who it is. Father greets Draco at least twenty degrees warmer than I was, and mom greets Draco in the same fashion she greeted me.

Back at the Manor, over dinner, the silence is deafening. I'm not used to the quiet. The Great Hall was always noisy. "So Draco, who's the girl I always see you sneaking off to go see?" I asked innocently, and Lucious raised an eyebrow.

"None of your business Y/n!" Draco snarls.

"Now now Draco, tell us who it is. This has piqued my interest," my father said, sipping from his glass.

Draco blushed, and flared at me across the table. "I'll tell when Y/n tells me who her secret boyfriend is!" Draco said smugly.

"I don't have a boyfriend!" I say, panic rising. Mom knows, but father should never find out anything.

"Oh yeah? Then why do I always see you wearing a scarf when it's boiling hot? Is it to cover-" I launched over the table, tacking Draco out of his chair, and onto the floor. Just as I'm about to break his nose and then proceed to strangle him, my mother pulls me off of Draco.

"She's killed me! She's killed me!" Draco whines on the floor. "Oh shut up! If I'd killed you you'd be quiet!" I snarled.

"Now I can see why you were put in Gryffindor and not into Slytherin. You take action, I calculated and brash, but action non the less," my father said, sniffing.

My mother lets go of me, and I hold out my hand to help Draco up. He slaps my hand away.

"Why don't you both invite over your...spouses...for dinner?" My mother suggested. I blanche. That was a very very bad idea. I can see Draco think the same thing.

"Yes! That's a wonderful idea! How about next Tuesday?" My father suggested. I glanced at Draco, and he seemed to think the same thing as me. Oh shit. This would be futile to argue.

"Yes father," we both said meekly, and we assumed our seats again.

After dinner, I took out my quill and parchment and scratched a letter to my boyfriend, and told him about me tackling my brother. He had a slight dislike for him. I know that would make him smile. I then also invited him to dinner. I'd already met his family, so they knew we were dating. We both agreed not to tell my parents or my brother, because Draco is a slimy little snitch.

The following evening after I received my reply, but it was from my boyfriend's mother, saying he'd be delighted to come, and that she'd make sure he would be there. I snorted. I knew that he really didn't want to come. I'm all true honesty, I don't want him to come either. It's going to be chaos. Let's just hope that Draco brings someone worse.

Tuesday arrived a lot faster than I would have liked it to. I got dressed for dinner in a white sundress with colorful flowers. I mostly wore it because my boyfriend liked the dress and my father hated it. My mother had bought it in secret for me. I then paired it with tan wedges, because Malfoy women weren't known for wearing any other shoes than thin heels. I left my h/l h/c hair down, and didn't do much make up. I existed the room, and my mother saw me, and smiled. "You look stunning darling," she said to me, and I smiled. My mother was wearing a long black evening dress. She reminded me of that lady from the very long moving photograph thingy Hermione showed me, named Morticia Addams. Hermione said that they are what she thinks of when I describe my family. The Addams were still cool. Gomez and Morticia loves each other. Lucious and Narcissa, however, is not.
