(I'm very sorry if I spelt that wrong)

I'm lying on the couch in the Slytherin common room, bored out of my mind. Well, I'm also worried sick, as my best friend Cedric and the guy of my dreams Harry Potter are facing the final challenge of the Triwizard Tournament. I sigh deeply, and stand up from the couch, pulling my skirt down slightly. I'm a Lestrange, not a whore.
As I walk to exit the common room, the voice of my cousin, Draco Malfoy, stops me.
"Good day Y/n," he says, walking to join me by the portal.
"Good day Blondie," I sat with a smirk, snickering at his mock-wounded face from my comment.
The portal opens, and we exit the Slytherin house.
"Oh, just for so by the way, my parents are throwing a party at the manor during the summer, and I need a date. So naturally, you're going with me," he tells me.
"Aren't you supposed to ask me to go with you to your mother's party?" I ask, pulling a face.
"Technically, yes. But I knew you would say no, so I didn't bother asking. Just dress nicely," he said, eyeing my skew tie. I groan and roll my eyes, straightening it.
"Can't I just wear the same dress I wore to the Yule ball?" I asked, falling into step beside him.
"When you went with that Hufflepuff? Ugh, Merlin no! Wear our family colors you heathen!" Draco said, sounding like a complete fashion diva. He even did the hand thing.
"He's not just any Huffelpuff. His name is Cedric, and he's my best friend, and not to mention a champion of Hogwarts," I grumbled, Draco not even listening.
"God, I should be grateful that you didn't go with Potter! That would have been so embarrassing. A Lestrange and a Potter! Just imagine it!" He said with a laugh, turning to me. I rolled my eyes and saw Cedric, and smiled at him. I started walking over to him.
"Wait where are you going?" Draco calls after me. "Away from you," I called back, flipping him the bird.
I turned back to Cedric, who was dressed for the final challenge. He smiled when he saw me. I could see he was tense. It was in his shoulders, and his smile didn't quite reach his eyes.
"Hey Prettyboy," I greet, pulling him in for a hug. He laughed at the nickname. His laugh sounded strange, almost hollow.
"Hey Twinkletoes," He said back with a slight jerk of his chin. The nickname only became a thing at the Yule ball, because I danced the whole night on my toes, to avoid him stepping on them.
"You ready?" I asked, resting my hands on his shoulders.
"No, but I have to be," he said, looking to his left. I followed his eyes, and saw Harry looking at us from across the corridor. I immediately remove my hands from Cedric's shoulders and smile. Cedric smiles, and side eyes me. He knows about my massively gigantic crush on The Chosen One. Cedric grabs my wrist and pulls me over to Harry.
"Hey Harry," He greets, and Harry smiles back.
"Hey Harry," I greet, and he also just smiles at me.
"You ready?" Cedric asks. Harry nods, avoiding eye contact. Cedric puts his arm around Harry's shoulders and starts walking. I have to jog to keep up with their long strides. I heard them talking about the tournament, but I had no idea what they were saying. They reach the area where the tournament would be taking place. They stopped. I walked in front of them, facing them.
"Look after each other out there, yeah?" I said, and they both nodded. I looked at Cedric, who looked like he was getting into the zone. Harry still looked nervous. I take Harry's hand.
"Hey, you'll be great," I say, and squeeze his hand. He blushes. "Thanks Y/n," he says with a smile. I hug Cedric, who wiggles his eyebrows at me, and I smack him upside the head. He smiles, and starts walking to the starting line. I turn to Harry, and pull him in for a quick hug. He hugs me back tightly. We let go. As he walks off, I call to them both "Cone back alive you two." Cedric pulls a face. "I mean it you knucklehead," I call with a smile. I join the other students on the stands and wait.

Time Skip to the part where Harry comes out of the maze:

I see a figure stumbling out of the maze. At first I thought it was Viktor Krum. The closer the figure got, I realized it was two people. But only one was walking. Shit. Harry and Cedric. I pushed my way off the stands and ran as fast as I could to reach them. Harry was carrying Cedric's lifeless body.
Harry dropped Cedric's body, and I dropped to my knees when I reached them. My eyes were so blurry through the tears, I could barely see. I look at Cedric's face, the face of my best friend. The friend who had been there for me through everything that happened. I look up, and see Harry, also on his knees, crying. He kept mumbling "I'm so sorry Y/n, I'm so sorry," and "I'm sorry Cedric, I'm so sorry." I reached my hand out to him, grabbing his hand.
"It's not your fault Harry," I say, trying to smile through the tears. He looks away. People come and pull us off of Cedric.

Time skip: one week later.

I hadn't been to any of my classes for a whole week. I hadn't moved from my dorm room. Draco brought me food every meal time and gave it to my roommates to give to me. I didn't bother eating the food half the time.
"Look Y/n. Get out of bed. It's time now," Draco said, after the Prefect snuck him up the stairs because she was also worried about me.
I looked up at Draco, and his grey eyes softened.
He just hugged me. After about a minute, he let go and threw my clothes at me. "Get dressed. It's lunch now," Draco said, leaving my room. He wasn't wrong. It was time to get out of bed. So I got up and got dressed.
I met Draco in the common room. "Look at you, now you look like a Lestrange, well, minus the puffy red eyes," he said with a smile. I laughed slightly.
"She laughed! Did anyone see that?" Draco asked, doing a dramatic sweep of the empty common room. I laughed again.
"I'm going to lunch. And I better see you there, or I'm owling your mother," Draco said, pointing a finger at me.
"Okay, I'll catch up. I'm just gonna go wash my face," I say. Draco leaves the common room, and I follow shortly after.
I wash my face in the girl's bathroom. When I exit the bathroom, Harry is leaning against the wall outside of the bathroom.
"Oh my God Harry! What are you doing?" I asked, alarmed at finding him there.
"I came to talk to you actually," he said.
"Go on then," I said, gesturing to him to continue.
"Y/n, you may want to sit down," he said, motioning me over to a bench nearby.
"Remember when Cedric died, you told me it wasn't my fault? Well, it was my fault," he began. He then told me the whole story of what happened in the maze, and how they found the cup, but that it was a portkey that took them to a graveyard, where Voldemort was. He told me every detail leading up to Cedric's death.
I was silent. "Look, I understand if you want to curse me into oblivion, I'll let you, just please say something," he said, lowering his perfect green eyes.
"Did you fire the spell that killed Cedric?" I asked. Harry seemed puzzled by the question.
"What?" He asked.
"Did you fire the spell that ultimately ended Cedric Diggory's life?" I asked.
"What of course not!" Harry said.
"Then you didn't kill him. And it's not your fault that he's dead, because you didn't fire the spell that killed Cedric," I said. Harry was now quiet.
"Thank you Y/n...but there was one thing Cedric said, before he died," Harry said, blushing.
"What?" I asked.
"He said that you like me. Like like me," he says with a faint smile.
Oh no. Cedric, if you weren't dead, I'd have killed you.
"Oh my God Harry! That was so not how you were supposed to find out! Cedric is such a snitch some times, like you wouldn't even believe the things he's told my-"
Harry cut my off by placing his lips on mine. I kissed him back. His lips were warm and sweet. He smiled into the kiss, and pulled away. "I like you too, Y/n Lestrange," He said with a smile.
So I kissed The Boy Who Lived by the girl's lavatory. Well, it wasn't our last kiss. There were many, many, many more to come, and many, many, many more years together.
