Summery: Dean proposes to Y/n at Hogsmeade after Seamus hyped him up.

Dean's P.O.V.

"Deanie. My man, look at me." Seamus says, gripping my shoulders.

I glance up at him. He looked very invested in whatever he was saying.

"You two have been dating since what? Third year? You're twenty three, and my mom thinks you're gay for me since you're not married to Y/n yet. It's been like eleven years."

"But what if she says no?" I ask. The words were out before I truly thought about them. But it was true. That was what was holding me back. I was scared that she would say no, and tell me that she had just waited for me to say that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her before she told me off.

"She's been putting up with ya almost as long as I have. She won't back out now. Plus, she's realized we're both disasters without her, so she isn't likely to say no." Seamus prompted.

I blinked. He was right. Who was I kidding, she wouldn't say no. Hopefully.

The week passed like a kidney stone. Every time I saw her, I wanted to blurt out the question. I carried the ring along with me for the week. My palms became sweaty around her. It felt like third year all over again.

"I-I...I like...you're hair."

Seamus rolled his eyes and facepalmed.

"Oh, thank you." Y/n had said, a slight dust of pink dusting her cheeks.

"I...I...What...What I meant to say was...I...like you. Like like you. As like, more than friends like." I stuttered out.

Y/n blushed. "I-I like you too."

Third Persons P.O.V.

The fond memory flashed before his eyes as he sat in the booth. He wasn't sure why he thought of that now. Seamus sat a few booths away, a fredora hat on his head with a stick on mustache and dark sunglasses, sipping at his drink.

Y/n entered, a white dress with merry yellow sunflowers. She looked sweet, and as beautiful as ever.

She smiled at Dean, and his heart started to race. He sipped at his drink when she sat down.

"Hi." Y/n breathed, taking a sip from the f/d that Dean had ordered for her.

"H-hi," Dean smiled. He was starting to sweat.

The pair made small talk till desert came. Dean received wide eyed glances and eyebrow wiggles for Seamus the whole evening.

"Excuse me for a minute, I need to use the Jon." Dean said, excusing himself from the table.

The Irishman with the funny hat stormed in after him.

"What the bloody hell was that? You had her hangin off of your every word, and you storm off like that?" Seamus asked.

A toilet flushed, and a guy walked out, glancing at them and then immediately glancing away.

Seamus waited a few seconds, before continuing.

"Look mate. She's the best thing that happened to us. We need her. So go ask her to marry you, or I'll ask her for you. Cause I'm not passing up the opportunity of free homemade pizza every weekend."

Dean nodded, and walked out of the bathroom with new resolve.

Taking his seat across from the love of his life, he smiled at her. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Seamus giving him a thumbs up from his seat.

"Y/n, you know I love you, right?" Dean asked.

Y/n stopped eating her ice cream and set her spoon down.

"Y-yes?" She replied, suspicion laced in her tone.

"Now, before I ask you, I need you to keep an open mind-"

"No, Seamus can't come live with us." Y/n sighed.

"Wai-what?"

"Come on. He's been sitting two booths away the whole evening. I put two and two together-"

"No! I wasn't going to ask that. I was going to ask you to marry me." Dean blurted out.

Y/n rolled her eyes. "Of course I'll marry you. But Seamus can't come live with us." Y/n said.

"Oh come on! Why not? You love me," Seamus whined, sliding into the seat next to Dean.

"Because if you officially move in with us, we have to put your name on the rent for the apartment, and you'll have to start paying to be there."

"But I already live with you, unofficially. Will I have to move out?" Seamus gasped dramatically.

"No, of course not. You're like the crazy uncle that all families have," Dean said with a smirk.

"Oh thank goodness, I thought you were kicking me out."

"Of course not. You're like a sibling or potentially really weird roommate. And we could never imagine life without you," Y/n grins.
