KIISHA
"I think I saw Jared earlier," Kiishi said as she sat on the white curvy double settee in my room.
"Where?" I asked curiously and sat on the sofa opposite the settee Kiishi was sitting.
It was our mid-term break and Kiishi and Kiiti had decided to visit me though Kiiti was yet to arrive.
Jared had taken my number before we came home for the break so as to call for my address for our study and assignments and he hadn't called for the past two days.
I just can't fathom what's wrong with the nincompoop, certainly he's doing it on purpose.
"Out there, the house beside yours"
I'd wanted to talk but the opening of the door swung my gaze to the door.
"Kiiti," Kiishi and I shouted in unison with beaming smiles as she walked into the room dressed in a black turtle neck gown that presented her hourglass figure.
She smiled at us before sitting beside Kiishi, after exchanging pleasantries, we settled on Pringles and talked ecstatically.
"I saw Jared out there now," Kiiti announced.
Kiishi and I shared a look.
"Maybe he's visiting someone," I said and Kiiti shook her head.
"No, he was dripping wet, he looked like someone who just got out of the pool," Kiiti assured.
"He was wearing shorts without a shirt when I even saw him," Kiishi added.
Confusion settled inside me as I pondered on what they'd said.
"Maybe he moved here," Kiishi's voice brought me out of my reverie.
"That's true," Kiiti nodded as she munched ravenously on the Pringles, it was obvious she was hungry.
"Maybe, but I didn't even see him at all since we got back"
"You're the indoor type nau," Kiishi said and I nodded in agreement.
We changed the topic and talked about random things before Kiiti decided it was time to go home, Kiishi and I decided to go with her especially now, that my parents weren't around and my younger siblings, the troublesome twins, Iteoluwa and Ikeoluwa weren't on mid-term break yet. They were still in primary school, they attended RGC's primary school.
My eyes opened to the fullest extent as I dabbed Kiiti's shoulder which drawn Kiishi's attention.
"Isn't that Rihanna?" Kiiti questioned, looking intently at Rihanna who was laughing with a petite and pretty woman.
"Yes," I responded, the main reason I'd drawed their attention.
"Aanuoluwakiiti," the pretty woman called as she approached us with Rihanna smiling ear to ear.
"Ma," Kiiti replied.
"Good afternoon ma," Kiishi and I greeted in unison.
She stared at us for some minutes as if she was trying to remember something.
"Afternoon," she answered when she finally sorted out her thoughts.
"They're my friends, Aanuoluwakiishi," she pointed at her before turning to me, "Aanuoluwakiisha, our names are so alike, she's our steward".
She took another look at us again before her lips curved into an amused smile.
"You're welcome," she then turned to Rihanna, "She's the Deputy Governor's daughter and she told me you guys are friends in school"
The three of us shared a look before Kiiti talked, " Yes"
"Good, I'll leave her in your care," she turned to leave but stopped abruptly and glanced at Kiishi and I before leaving, she was probably wondering how we looked so much like Kiiti, everyone does.
"Hi," Rihanna greeted with a wave of hand as she smiled at Kiiti. It seems this girl desperately wants Kiiti to be her friend.
"Why are you here?" Kiiti asked.
"I came here with my dad and decided to see you, meanwhile, have you forgotten we live in the Government House too"
I hissed at this while Kiishi rolled her eyes.
"I see," Kiiti nodded as she shared a look with us before leading us to her room.
"Your lodge is so beautiful and your room is magnificent," Rihanna commented as she looked around the room with her mouth wide agape, I hoped a fly lands on her tongue and wonder if her father's lodge here wasn't.
"Close that gutter and stop giving out nauseating smell," I said, she turned and eyed me before looking back at the room. It's not as if this girl's room is not this beautiful, it's clear she's only trying to gain attention.
Sincerely, the room is very big and beautiful with a very pretty purple flower patterned wallpaper, lots of wall decorations, a queen-sized bed, a walk-in wardrobe, a purple chaise longue opposite a sofa, purple reading table and chair with a laptop and a small book shelf and a large plasma TV.
"Is purple your best colour?" I asked immediately I averted my gaze to her.
She nodded.
Kiishi and I sat on the chaise lounge while Kiiti sat on the sofa and Rihanna still walked around the room, admiring it's beauty. Imagine a Deputy Governor's daughter admiring a room that's almost like her's, abi no be this same Government House this thing dey live nii.
The door barged open and a young kid walked into the room, probably Kiiti's younger sibling, he would be my sibling's age mate.
"Damisi, why are you here?" Kiiti questioned looking intently at the boy.
"Call my full name and who are they?" he asked as he looked from Kiishi to me and finally Rihanna, "Why is she looking around?"
I smiled at this and Rihanna quickly sat beside Kiishi.
Kiiti introduced everyone of us before introducing him as her younger brother.
"I'm Aanuoluwadamisi, don't mind Kiiti, but why do you guys look so much like my sister?"
"What?" Kiiti questioned.
"Are you twins?" he turned to Kiishi and I with a questioning look.
"No, we're friends," Kiishi replied and he squeezed his face.
"But why do they look s much alike? They even look like you," he said loudly, Kiiti had wanted to reply but the sound of 'shape of you' by Ed Sheeran filled the air.
It was Kiishi's ringtone and her best song. She was a huge and faithful fan of Ed Sheeran, I was also a fan of his but wasn't faithful enough because I loved other musicians.
Kiishi picked up her phone and excused herself only to come back couple of minutes later.
"I think I have to go, mum just gave birth," Kiishi announced with a grin.
Wow, Kiishi now had a sibling. It calls for a big celebration, she's no longer an only child.
A wide smile appeared on everyone's face except that foolish Rihanna.
"Congratulations," Kiiti greeted.
"Thanks"
I stood up and turned to Kiiti, "I think I'll have to go with her"
Kiiti nodded before saying, "Okay, greet the baby for me oo"
"Sure," Kiishi said before I dashed Kiiti a warning look, she gave me a reassuring smile before we walked out of the mansion.
