Third person POV"Please, let's all welcome Oyo State First Lady," Mrs Yusuf who had been chosen as the MC for the PTA meeting announced upon the entrance of Madam Toriola and her PA and her security aide.
Everyone got up except the proud ones amongst them as applause rented the air till she was seated. Clara who was seated beside Sola trembled at the sight of Madam Toriola with different thoughts racing through their minds.
They were good friends considering the fact that their kids were best of friends though Sola suspected Clara's daughter to be Toriola's child but she decided to pretend while Clara on the other hand only believed her daughter's look was a coincidence with Kiisha, so far she knew Madam Toriola only had twins and not triplets.
None of the duo knew what was running through each other's minds because they were only concerned about their interest. Sola decided it was best she avoided Toriola and made sure they didn't meet and if at all they cross paths she would tell her she just got back from the States while Clara decided it was best to leave, she couldn't afford meeting eye to eye with Madam Toriola after all this years.
"I have to use the restroom," Clara informed Sola as she picked up her bag.
Clara turned to her slowly and forced a small smile, "Okay then,"
The meeting continued as Sola didn't grasp that much of what was being said due to her disturbed thoughts while Clara walked out of the Royal Hall but on getting to the entrance, she was stopped by two men, unknown to her they were Madam Toriola's security guards whom she'd instructed not to allow either Sola or Clara out of the hall as she'd given them their pictures, though, they looked younger but anyone that sees the picture would surely recognize them, not to talk about security operatives who were verse in such jobs.
"Excuse me," Clara said belligerently with raised eyebrows as the bodyguards blocked her way.
"You can't leave," the tall and stern looking one with bulgy eyes among the security officers said.
"I have to use the restroom so you have no right to tell me when to leave or not," Clara uttered hostilely while eyeing him contemptuously.
"We've been instructed not to allow you leave," the other bodyguard who had a paunchy stomach and calm look told her. Clara wondered who could have employed him into the Nigerian police, he was better off as a drunkard or dummy.
"And who instructed you? Do you know who I am?" She raised her voice this time and it caught the attention of everyone.
"Please, what's going on?" Mrs Yusuf queried.
Sola on sighting Clara wondered what was going on while Toriola smiled before standing up.
"We were instructed by the First Lady, and that's the normal security protocol around her," the rigid looking bodyguard replied.
Clara got astonished at this as she pondered on how Madam Toriola knew she was here and why she instructed her security agents not to allow her out of the hall.
She summoned up courage and decided to protest, "Why would she?"
Toriola walked up to her this time with a crook smile.
"For reasons best known to the both of us, it's nice to see you again Clara, I think it's best you go back to your seat and stop disrupting this glorious meeting," she told her with a sadistic smile and this made Clara tremble internally.
She wanted to reply but Toriola left her presence before she could, she then walked back to her seat as the meeting continued.
"Do you know Toriola?" Sola questioned immediately Clara sat. Clara then turned to her in surprise as she wondered if Sola was familiar with the First Lady.
