Third person POV (unknown)

It took almost a year before Toriola finally came back to life, it had been like a dream that day. Lanre had been sleeping beside Toriola's comatose body then until he felt a cold hand on his, it was after he got pinched twice that he opened his eyes only to see his wife staring at him.

He couldn't contain his joy that day as he jumped to his feet in surprise before ringing the doctor. Two weeks later, she was fully recovered and that was when it all started.

"Where is my daughter?" Toriola questioned while carressing her daughter's cheeks, Lanre had come with their daughter alongside the nanny earlier in the day and Toriola's face had lit up.

"You're holding her na," Lanre replied with a smile, though he knew Toriola was referring to their other daughter but he decided to pretend, it was a sensitive matter so he couldn't just tell her the truth.

Almost a year now, she was still missing, the private investigator hadn't been able to get any lead on her, he'd considered the man worthless so he'd stopped him some weeks back since he was just receiving his money without doing a proper job, even, the police in the it self had long forgotten the case.

"My second baby," she simply replied with a frown.

"Em, emm ... I think I should tell you about that later, you're just recovering," Lanre replied as he stood up to carry their daughter but Toriola declined.

"Lanre, please just tell me what's going on right now, meanwhile, where is Clara?" she looked around the room as if Clara could possibly be there.

"Toriola, I'll answer all your questions when you get out of this hospital," Lanre replied as he sat back on the couch.

"Lanre, I'm getting out of this unbelievable hell tomorrow!," Toriola shouted and Lanre flinched, he knew she was getting furious, and remembered instantly that, if Toriola should shout then it would undoubtedly get worst, she was someone who never got angry easily but if she should, it'll surely be hard for her to be calmed down and the victim or whoever the receiver was would unarguably see the worst side of her.

"Darling, I don't want you stressed over this matter, just be patient with me, you'll get to know everything when you're out of this, yea, hell it should be called indeed," the latter statement being a joke as he smiled but Toriola threw him a scowl which made this faked smile disappear instantly.

She glared daggers at him and opened her mouth to talk but the entrance of the nurse impeded her, Lanre couldn't be more grateful, if Toriola should talk, he was in for it.

"I'll be back in a jiffy," he said quickly and carried their daughter from Toriola's laps, all the while, she dashed him a murderous looks which he tried avoiding.

She didn't reply him till he walked out of the room and the nurse set to work. Toriola knew something was wrong, judging from the way her husband was behaving, she suspect something bad must have happened but she hoped it wouldn't be what she was thinking.

It would be hard for her to accept it, she can't just imagine not seeing her daughter, someone she'd grew accustomed to, she had two daughters so, it can't be one overnight. When the nurse left, Toriola wallowed in her thoughts.

Lanre didn't come back till later with his Mom who'd engaged her in another discussion quickly, she knew it was deliberate, he was avoiding the matter so also his Mom, she'll allow it slide now and would pester on when his Mom leaves but as if she knew her plan, she didn't leave until late in the night and dragged Lanre with her.

It was a big day when Clara got married to Mahad, the big gun, her joy knew no bounds. After he'd taken her to Madam Toriola's place several times, they got real close and friendship started before everyone could fathom what was in the air, it had graduated to a love relationship and now she was getting married to the love of her life.
